The top-ranked Auburn Tigers will likely be a rare road underdog in the college basketball odds as they attempt to snap a tie for first place in the SEC against the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday.
Auburn rebounded from its first loss in 15 games on Tuesday with an 80-68 victory at Vanderbilt. Player of the Year candidate Johni Broome has four double-doubles in six games since returning from an ankle injury for the Tigers.
Alabama has won seven consecutive contests to tie Auburn atop the league standings, including the 103-80 win at Texas on Tuesday with a career-high 22 points from Jarin Stevenson. The Crimson Tide lead the nation in scoring (90.5) with a deep lineup.
Before making your wager at BetUS Sportsbook, you must consider whether Auburn’s defense (23.1 field goals against per game) can hold down the Tide just enough.

Top 3 Auburn vs Alabama Betting Picks
1. Bet Tigers ATS
Auburn will have to go into the Lions’ Den and show what it is about on Saturday. That’s a challenge coach Bruce Pearl’s group will probably enjoy.
Broome and the Tigers’ offense should be ready to go against a team that allows almost 80 points per game. It might come down to a battle of 3-point shooters. Auburn shoots 37.2 percent from behind the arc and Alabama 34.4.
The Tigers boast three players – Miles Kelly, Tahaad Pettiford and Denver Jones – who shoot better than 40 percent from 3-point land. They have four with at least 35 makes and Bama just two.
If Auburn makes its 3-pointers, it will also give Broome and improving Chaney Johnson (15.3 ppg last three) more room inside. That is a hope for the Tigers’ chances during March Madness as well.
Auburn HC Bruce Pearl: “Our guys have handled the moment. I don’t think that’ll be an issue. We’ve lost two games this season to two Final Four teams. Alabama is a Final Four team. … It’s gonna be harder than it’s ever been up there, because they’re that good.”

2. Bet Under In Showdown
The teams combine to average almost 175 points per game, but you have to expect this intense matchup will be more of a war than an up-and-down show if you bet online.
Broome leads Auburn in scoring (18.1), rebounds (10.7), assists and blocks and should put up points along with five other double-figure scorers for the Tigers. Second-leading scorer Chad Baker-Mazara (12.2) will likely rebound from going scoreless versus Vandy.
Mark Sears leads the way for Alabama (17.8 ppg, 4.9 assists per game) and 6-11 Grant Nelson (12.7 ppg) has shot at least 50 percent from the field in his last eight games. Aden Holloway (11.8 ppg) and Sears each have drained more than 50 from 3-point range.

There will be plenty of points scored, but the number might be too high for the circumstances. Auburn allows 67.7 points per game, even though it gave up 90 versus Florida at home two games ago. We think the under is the better bet to add to your NCAA parlay.
Bet on Auburn vs Alabama Under 172.5
3. Broome, Holloway Top Player Props
Broome had two huge games against Alabama last season and the 6-10 Floridian will be primed to have another in the biggest game ever between the rivals.
He scored 49 total points and hauled in 21 rebounds as the teams split a pair in 2023-24. Alabama doesn’t have anyone who can stop Broome inside. Bet the best value NCAAB player prop for the Auburn big man to score at least 20.
Aden Hollway scored 7.3 points per game for Auburn last season before transferring across state to put on a Crimson Tide uniform. The 6-1 guard will probably get a little room with Auburn sagging on Sears and should have some incentive against his former team.
