The Huskies turned over four starters from last year’s championship team to the NBA, namely top-10 picks Stephon Castle and big man Donovan Clingan. These two, in particular, have left a significant void on the team defensively, which showed in Maui, giving up 99, 73, and 85 points to unranked opponents. While they are second in the nation in blocks and only allow an average of 63.25 points, the Huskies are particularly bad on the glass. Out of 360 Division I teams, they rank 358th in total rebounds, 350th in offensive rebounds, and 349th in defensive rebounds. This could pose a problem, as the Bears bring in over 13 offensive boards a game, opening the door for lots of second-chance scoring.

While the Huskies have underwhelmed defensively, they are one of the best offenses in the country, scoring over 86 points per game, thanks in part to sharing the basketball.
