We look for the best college basketball odds today to find the best bets ahead.

Top 3 College Basketball Picks Today

1. DePaul vs Marquette Over 148 (-115)

It will be the best and the worst of the Big East colliding in Chicago when Marquette, the only team still undefeated in Big East play hits the road to meet up with a DePaul team that has dropped 38 consecutive regular-season games in conference play.

The feeling is that DePaul is an improved team this season and the Blue Demons have two overtime losses in Big East play to back that up. However, Marquette has won four games in a row against DePaul.

When making college basketball expert picks, it will be tempting to go with Kam Jones, David Joplin, Stevie Mitchell and the Golden Eagles to cover as the double-digit favorite. However, with the last four games between Marquette and DePaul landing over, we like this matchup to go over 148.

Bet This Pick: DePaul vs Marquette Over 148 (-115)

2. Georgetown ATS +9 (-114) vs St John’s

We’re going to stay in the Big East for a matchup at Madison Square Garden between longtime rivals Georgetown and St. John’s.

The Red Storm is 11-0 at home this season and has covered against the NCAA basketball betting lines in each of those games. Georgetown wraps up a brutal three-game stretch after losing to Marquette and defending Big East champion UConn in a pair of competitive games.

The Red Storm has won its last seven games against Georgetown but the Hoyas have covered against the college basketball spread in two of the last three meetings.

Georgetown opened plenty of eyes with a 24-point win over Creighton in its Big East opener and could be the most improved team in the Big East this season.

St. John’s tends to play its best in the second half so going with the second half to be the one with the most points is a Georgetown vs St. John’s game prop to consider. Another way to proceed is to take the Hoyas to cover as 9-point underdogs with your online bet.

Bet This Pick: Georgetown +9 (-114)

3. Arizona ATS -5.5 to Cover vs Baylor

Good luck trying to figure out the 2024-25 Baylor Bears. Baylor opened the season by being run off the court by Gonzaga only to beat a ranked Arkansas team.

Baylor is coming off its first road win of the season as Norchad Omier had 19 and eight rebounds in an overtime victory over Arizona State. Things will be much more challenging against an Arizona team that is 4-0 in the Big 12 and has won six games in a row.

Just one of Arizona’s first four conference wins is by at least 10 points. Thankfully for the Wildcats, there won’t be a double-digit spread to cover.

Take Arizona to deliver as a 5.5-point home favorite as the final Jan. 14 college basketball pick.

Bet This Pick: Arizona -5.5
