Top 3 College Basketball Picks Today

1. Oregon Moneyline (-190)

Oregon’s first two conference games as a Big Ten team came against longtime Pac-12 rivals USC and UCLA. The Ducks won at USC before losing to UCLA on a buzzer-beater.

Oregon is 3-0 since that loss to UCLA and has trailed for just 69 seconds in wins over Stephen F Austin, Stanford and Weber State.

The degree of difficulty is a little higher with No. 22 Illinois coming to town.

The teams haven’t played since 2014 when Oregon won 77-70. It was the second win in a row against Illinois.

When looking at college basketball betting trends, it is hard to take much from those 2013 and 2014 matchups when picking a winner on Tuesday.

Go with the Ducks at -190 to win outright when making NCAAB picks.

2. Rutgers vs Indiana Under 157 (-105)

Rutgers is one of the more intriguing Big Ten teams to watch this season thanks to the arrival of freshman phenoms Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey. Harper had a triple-double in a win over Columbia the last time out and already had 10 games with at least 20 points.

Bailey matched his season-high with 24 points against Columbia so both of them will be tempting options in the Illinois vs Rutgers prop picks. However, a lack of scoring depth has been an issue for the Scarlet Knights this season.

In the last true road game against Ohio State, the other three starters combined for just 20 points in the 80-66 loss.

Indiana is undefeated at home with junior forward Malik Reneau leading the way.

We like Indiana to win but aren’t too comfortable with the idea of the Hoosiers covering against the college basketball odds as the 5.5-point favorites. A better option could be for the game to land under the 157-point total.

3. Purdue vs Minnesota Over 135

We’re staying in the Big Ten as Minnesota begins the new year with a home game against favored Purdue in quest of its first conference win of the season.

Purdue is still adapting following the departure of National Player of the Year Zach Edey to the NBA. The Boilermakers had to struggle to win at home against Maryland and then dropped back-to-back games to ranked Texas A&M and Auburn games.

The Boilermakers headed into 2025 on a high note as Trey Kaufman-Renn and Braden Smith combined for 57 points in a win over Toledo.

Minnesota ended 2024 with a 90-point effort in a win over Morgan State.

Perhaps there are some who bet online willing to take Purdue at -260 to win outright or to go with the -110 odds for the Boilermakers to cover as 6.5-point favorites.

Taking the Purdue-Minnesota game to land over 135 might be the better way to proceed.

Bet This Pick: Purdue vs Minnesota Over 135
