College Basketball Prediction, Picks and Odds Today: Take Arkansas to Cover at Auburn on Feb 19

Auburn looks very much like the best team in the country. However, after covering against the college basketball spread in each of its first seven games this season as a double-digit favorite, the Tigers have taken care of business just twice in their last seven games when favored by at least 10 points.

Arkansas has had some ugly performances as the road underdog this season and that includes a 24-point loss to Tennessee and a 13-point loss to Illinois. It is worth noting that three of the Razorbacks’ last four defeats as the underdog have been decided by eight points or less.

When looking at the best bets for Arkansas vs Auburn, we like Auburn to win outright but the 16-point spread is just a little too rich for our tastes.

2. Providence vs Georgetown Over 140.5 (-115)

Even in his second season at Georgetown, there is something special when Ed Cooley’s Georgetown team faces the Providence program that made it to the NCAA tournament seven times in the 12 seasons when Cooley was the head coach. Add in the fact that Cooley’s mother recently passed away and this matchup between teams fighting it out for seventh place in the Big East has plenty of emotion attached to it.

Check out our college basketball injury updates as Georgetown’s star freshman Thomas Sorber left Saturday’s loss to Butler with an ankle injury.

The Hoyas allowed 97 points to a mediocre Butler team in that loss while Providence has given up at least 75 points in 10 of its last 13 games.

Even though four of the last six games between Georgetown and Providence have landed under the total, go with this matchup to land over 140.5 when making NCAAB bets.

3. Florida State ATS -8 (-115)

Even when Miami was contending for the ACC title, the Hurricanes struggled to beat rival Florida State.

Florida State has won its last three games and covered against the NCAA basketball betting lines in all three. Things are a little different this time as Miami has been favored in each of the last 20 meetings with the Seminoles.

Florida State is the favorite this season and one of the reasons is the play of senior Jamir Watkins. Watkins is averaging 17.3 and 7 rebounds over his last four games and is somebody to consider when making college basketball player prop bets.

With Miami sitting in last place in the ACC standings and 0-7 on the road, it is not a surprise to see the Hurricanes listed as the underdog by BetUS Sportsbook.

Even though Miami is 3-2 against the spread as a road underdog this season, it is hard to overlook Florida State’s 8-2 ATS mark when favored at home.

Take Florida State to cover as 8-point favorites against the struggling Hurricanes who continue to play without Nijel Pack and Jalen Blackmon.
