Cincinnati Keeps It Close Against Baylor

This is the first season of Cincinnati (12-3, 1-1) being in the Big 12, and it is going through the wringer with three straight ranked opponents. Next on the schedule is No.14 Baylor (13-2,2-0), which has started conference play with two straight wins. This could lean NCAAB lines in the Bears’ favor.

In the Bearcats’ last game, they lost their first Big 12 game to Texas 74-73, but put up a fight. The Bears picked up their second conference win against another Big 12 newcomer, BYU, winning 81-72.

In the win over BYU, Jalen Bridges led the way with 25 points, but four other players scored in double digits, along with Langston Love having 15 off the bench. The team’s leading scorer on the season, Ja’Kobe Walter (15.2), also had 16.

On top of that, Cincinnati can hold its own offensively, averaging 80.7 points per game. Furthermore, neither team is solid on defense. Baylor allows the second-highest points per game (69.5) in the Big 12, while Cincinnati ranked the seventh-highest.
