This is not John Calipari’s Wildcats versus Mike Krzyzewski’s Blue Devils anymore. Mark Pope took over the reins at Kentucky this season and Jon Scheyer is in his third season at the helm in Durham, N.C.
The two teams are almost entirely different from last season as well. That is college basketball these days, but Duke is +180 and the Wildcats +850 in our odds to make the Final Four.
It’s never an easy bet this early in the season, but follow me as we dig up the best college basketball picks today for Duke vs Kentucky.

Top 3 Duke vs Kentucky NCAAB Picks 11/12
1. Duke ML (-240)
Duke has high hopes this season and much of that is centered around 6-9 freshman Cooper Flagg, who does not turn 18 until next month.
Flagg was the top-ranked recruit in the country and has gotten off to a strong start while averaging 15.5 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Flagg leads a top-rated freshman class to go along with a few talented returnees.

Freshman Kon Knueppel is off to an even better start than Flagg, averaging 18.5 points on 13-of-23 shooting from the field while junior guard Tyrese Proctor (12.0 ppg) is the top returnee for Scheyer.
It would be hard to go against the Blue Devils on the moneyline, but they might not be able to pull away from a talented Kentucky squad at a neutral site in the State Farm Champions Classic. Use Duke in your college basketball parlay picks to win.

2. Bet Kentucky ATS (-5.5)
Anything can happen in this early-season game with teams trying to find out who they are.
While Duke likely has more high-end talent, the Wildcats may have a little more depth. Seven players are averaging at least 10 points in the first two games and Kentucky is shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 40 percent from behind the arc.
Sharp-shooting guard Koby Brea leads the way for the Cats at 19 points per game. Fellow guard Otega Oweh, a transfer from Oklahoma, has chipped in with 15.5 points per contest early on.
Koby Brea is now a combined 10-for-12 from downtown in his first two games in a Kentucky uniform.

Kentucky could have a slight advantage inside with veteran Amari Williams, who has registered 25 points and 27 rebounds in his first two games with the Cats after transferring from Drexel.
It may be a hunch bet, but take the 5½ points with Kentucky and try to split your online bets.
3. Bet This Game Under 161
Unless both teams struggle on the defensive end, we think this battle could be more intense than the average early-season game.
Duke will want to prove it can slow down talented offensive teams and Kentucky will want to show the nation it can be a factor in your March Madness betting.
The Blue Devils allowed 34.7 percent shooting in the first two games and the Wildcats 37.6. While the two programs might want to put on an offensive show for the national audience, they will focus on defense as well.
188 feet of running by Amari Williams. Missed shot on one end, blocked shot on the other in a quick Bucknell possession, then a rim run. Also impressed with his hands. He can handle, pass, catch on the move, and finish. @KentuckyRivals pic.twitter.com/zwQzdABjp2

The number is rather high at 161 points, so take a shot with the under (-110) in this showdown. Think 78-74, 79-75 for a final score?
