The Florida Gators bring an impressive home stretch into this matchup, and Alabama boasts one of the nation’s top offenses, making this one of the more interesting NCAAB picks today. While there’s an argument to be made that both sides make sense to emerge with a victory in this matchup, we’re going to break down why the Gators look like a strong play and the over appears to be a bit too high.

Alabama vs Florida Odds and Spreads

1. Florida is 2-3 ATS in its last five games and 0-3 in its last three games
2. The over is 4-1 in Florida’s last five games
3. Alabama is 2-3 ATS in its last five games
4. The over is 4-1 in Alabama’s last five games
5. Florida is 7-11 ATS at home this year
6. Alabama is 5-7 ATS on the road this season
7. The over is 9-3 in Alabama’s road games this season
8. The over is 11-7 in Florida’s home games this year

Alabama vs Florida Over/Under Pick: Under 175½

Alabama and Florida boast high-upside units in terms of their potential to put points on the board. The Crimson Tide averages 90.9 points per game while Florida sits at 84.4 on the year. The potential to see plenty of points between these two was on full display in their last matchup, a 98-93 overtime victory for Alabama.

But beyond the fact that 176½ points is a lofty number to target an over on, there’s also the fact that Florida has been far better defensively at home as of late. They allowed 74, 64, 80, and 65 points over the last four home games. While slowing down Alabama is a tough task, I think we at least see the number come down slightly, making the under 175½ the best NCAAB pick here.

Alabama vs Florida ATS Pick: Florida -1½

While Alabama got the job done at home against Florida in overtime, I think we see a bit of revenge here from the Gators. Not only has Florida been strong defensively at home, but they’ve also been excellent when playing in front of their own fans. They boast a 13-1 record this season at home, and the lone loss came at the hands of Kentucky in a two-point loss.

Florida is also jockeying for a position in the SEC, and with two teams above them at 11-5, along with two others at 12-4, a win here would go a long way toward setting the Gators up to have a shot at a higher seed in the conference tournament. I like the Gators laying 1½ to move to 14-1 at home with an impressive victory, and they look like a solid college basketball bet for Tuesday’s action.

Alabama vs Florida Moneyline Pick: Florida (-125)

I’m happy to take Florida laying 1½, but if you’re willing to deal with the hit to the odds to avoid the small risk of a narrow one-point win, then the moneyline is a fine bet. Florida’s odds to win outright are set at -125, so you could do far worse for a team that’s been stellar at home this season.
