Florida vs Auburn Odds, Final Four Prediction and College Basketball Picks for April 5

The Auburn Tigers, who were installed the top seed of the NCAA Tournament, come into the national semifinal matchup with the Florida Gators as a slight underdog in the college basketball lines on Saturday in San Antonio.

Auburn rallied to beat Michigan in the South region semifinal and controlled Michigan State most of the way for a 70-64 triumph to reach the Final Four. The Tigers are currently the longshot in the March Madness odds (+500) to win it all.

Florida looked dead and buried by Texas Tech in the West region final, but battled back from a 10-point deficit late to reach the Final Four for the first time since 2014. The Gators won at Auburn 90-81 on Feb. 8.

Florida vs Auburn Prediction Today, April 4

My prediction

Auburn 80, Florida 74

The Gators made 13 shots from 3-point range and led by as much as 21 at Auburn two months ago, but the Tigers were a bit off that day. Expert Auburn to be much better defensively in this one and grind out a win in the second half to help you cash your bet on March Madness.

Top 3 Florida vs Auburn Betting Picks

My top picks

1. Florida vs Auburn Moneyline Pick: Auburn ML (+134)
2. Florida vs Auburn O/U Pick: Under 159 ½ points
3. Florida vs Auburn Top Prop: Largest lead in game under 14 ½ points

My analysis

The Gators played one of their better games of the season at Auburn in February, but rarely does that matter when we get to this point.

Both teams had their struggles getting here, but showed a lot of resolve in the second half. This huge SEC matchup will probably come down to who makes their limited wide-open shots and who can control the backboards. It’s our NCAA basketball expert pick that the Tigers have the edge.

Auburn Player of the Year candidate Johni Broome gave the team’s fans a scare with an elbow injury last weekend, but he won’t miss this one and owns three double-doubles in the NCAA Tournament. Check late college basketball news for injury updates.

The teams each had 40 rebounds in the first meeting, but we think Auburn can go more inside this game as Chaney Johnson and Dylan Cardwell give Broome support. Florida has been a good rebounding team, but gave up 14 offensive boards versus Texas Tech, per NCAAB betting tips.

The Gators must get big games from All-American Walter Clayton Jr. (22.3 ppg NCAAs), Alijah Martin and Will Richard. Thomas Haugh (16.5 ppg, 10 rpg last two) will also be important off the bench. Our March Madness pick is the number (159 ½) is too high, but expect a close game.

Florida vs Auburn Final Four Best Point- Scorer Prop

  • Miles Auburn’s Kelly 14+ Points (+154)

The Tigers’ perimeter players have all had big games in the tournament, so you will have to look into the crystal ball to pick who is on in this March Madness game.

Freshman Tahaad Pettiford has been the best in the NCAAs (17.3 ppg) while Denver Jones scored 20 versus Michigan and Chad Baker-Mazara (12.2 ppg) is always capable. We like Miles Kelly.

Kelly has struggled the last three games after scoring 23 in the first round. But the Georgia Tech transfer scored 22 versus Florida in February and will get plenty of opportunities to cash your prop wager at BetUS Sportsbook.

Miles Auburn’s Kelly 14+ Points (+154)
