Over/Under Pick: Under 136
Each of the last four opponents for Texas has been held under 60 points as the Longhorns have used defense to get to the regional final. After averaging 58 points per game in the ACC tournament, North Carolina State is putting up 73.3 points in the three NCAA tournament games.
Texas head coach Vic Schaefer didn’t get the “Minister of Defense” nickname by accident as he has shut down elite offensive teams during the March Madness bracket before. That is something to consider for NCAAW over/under predictions.
Both teams have thrived in low-scoring games in March so don’t be surprised if this game heads that way.
ATS Pick: Texas -5½
It is easy to forget that Texas has played without star point guard Rori Harmon since Nov. 8. Freshman Madison Booker has taken a larger role since the season-ending injury to Harmon but she has struggled in the NCAA tournament.
Aaliyah Moore averages 15.7 points in the NCAA tournament and has back-to-back double-doubles. Aziaha James is averaging 23.3 points in the tourney for North Carolina State.
Keep an eye on the updates of Texas forward Taylor Jones after she missed the regional final as she works her way through concussion protocol.

North Carolina State is 8-3 against ranked teams this season so this is a tough team to discount but Texas looked pretty hard to beat the last time out.
