Grab Texas A&M as Road Underdog vs Virginia

A pair of teams looking to build off recent wins meet in the ACC/SEC Challenge when the Virginia Cavaliers host the Texas A&M Aggies on Wednesday. Both the Aggies and Cavaliers rebounded from their first losses of the season when they closed out their respective tournaments with wins. Each will aim to get the win for their conference, but college basketball lines slightly favor Virginia by 2 ½ points.

A&M Battles Back

Texas A&M fought back from a double-digit deficit against Iowa State to pick up the close victory in the end.

Despite the Aggies missing two of their top three scorers in Henry Coleman III and Tyrece Radford, their offense still managed to produce, scoring 73 points on 40.6% shooting behind a team-high 18 points from Solomon Washington.

Texas A&M was down 21 points late in the first half, but after going on a 16-0 run, it pulled within five early in the second, eventually taking over in the middle of the second half, not relinquishing the lead after that.

The Aggies have averaged 80.8 points a game in their last five games, but with Coleman and Radford still questionable, bettors may want to see if others step up once again before looking at some live betting odds.

Cavaliers Keep It Close

Virginia won a tight game that went down to the wire against West Virginia to rebound from their first loss of the year as well.

The Cavaliers held the Mountaineers to their lowest point total of the season to help them pick up the win, limiting them to 54 points on 37.3% shooting and turning them over 16 times as well.

Virginia and West Virginia took it down to the wire, keeping within two points of each other for much of the second half, and despite Virginia getting outrebounded 41-28, it got the rebound at the end when it mattered most, in the waning seconds to secure the win.

The Cavaliers will need another strong performance from their defense to help its offense keep up with a solid Aggie offense and remain a good NCAA basketball pick.

Texas A&M vs Virginia Best Bet

Two teams will look to get the win for their conference in the SEC/ACC Challenge, and though the sportsbook slightly favors Virginia, Texas A&M should pull out the win.

Despite the Aggies potentially missing two of their top scorers once again, that shouldn’t slow down their offense. Other players stepped up in their last outing with both Coleman and Radford out and will need to do so again, while their defense made plays as well to help the Aggies come back from a double-digit deficit.

Virginia’s offense has also not been producing to the level that Texas A&M’s has, and the Aggie’s defense should keep the Cavs from pulling away in this game as well. It should be a tight game, but A&M should steal one on the road, where it is 2-0 so far. Take the Aggies in your best college basketball bets today.
