Jayhawks Living Dangerously
Kansas has been winning, but it has not been easy in recent games.
Four of the last five games played by Kansas were decided by four points or less.
It started in late December with K.J. Adams’ basket with three seconds left lifting Kansas over visiting Oklahoma State. In the next game, Texas Tech was within a point with 1:03 and the Red Raiders had a chance to force overtime, but a late 3-pointer was off the mark.
Oklahoma led by double digits with just over five minutes left before the Jayhawks rallied for the four-point win.
The last time out against visiting Iowa State, it was a one-possession game for the final 17:27, and once again it was Adams who delivered in the final seconds to keep the Jayhawks from suffering their first conference loss.
Adams has scored in double digits in each of the games during the Jayhawks’ 10-game winning streak and was named the Big 12 Player of the Week.
