The Volunteers are a big favorite in today’s Kentucky vs Tennessee college basketball odds as they try to lick their wounds after a tough loss over the weekend when the Kentucky Wildcats pay a visit on Tuesday.
Kentucky has lost two straight and is 7-5 since winning the first seven games of the season. The Wildcats should still pose a challenge with an offense that averages 88.1 points – third in the country – but they have injury concerns.
That makes the over/under bet a tough call at BetUS Sportsbook, but we have some ideas.

Kentucky vs Tennessee Betting Tips 1/28
1. Volunteers Should Hit Moneyline (-525)
Zakai Zeigler had a good look at a winning 3-pointer in front of a raucous crowd at Auburn last Saturday in the final seconds and it clanked off the rim. The Volunteers still held the No. 1 team in the country to 30.5 percent shooting.
It’s pure lock ups out in Knoxville. Jordan Gainey, Zakai Zeigler and Chaz Lanier earned their way to the third-ever SLAMU digital cover by GUARDING: https://t.co/jmwolnVBWu pic.twitter.com/dBRcWIZLJW

Tennessee just could not find enough offense to finish the job. Leading scorer Chaz Lanier (18 ppg) was held to 10 points on Saturday and Zeigler had 14 but missed 11 of 15 shots from the field.
Expect the Volunteers to recover at home, making this moneyline bet a good addition to your college basketball parlay picks.
2. Bet Kentucky ATS +10
Kentucky lost its last two games, but the Wildcats weren’t too far away.
Alabama had to keep scoring to turn back Kentucky 102-97 on Jan. 18 and battled back from a double-digit halftime deficit at Vanderbilt before succumbing 74-69 last Saturday.
The problem for the Wildcats is they could be without two key players. Second-leading scorer Lamont Butler (13.2) is out with a shoulder injury and big man Andrew Carr (10.9) is questionable due to a sore back.
Otega Oweh (15.9 ppg) averaged 21 points in those two games for the Wildcats and Jaxson Robinson averaged 17.8 in the past four. If Kentucky gets Koby Brea going from behind the 3-point arc again, it could still be a good online bet at that number.

The Volunteers could roll, but we have faith that the Cats can keep it relatively close.
3. Kentucky vs Tennessee Under 147.5
Kentucky averages almost 90 points per game. Tennessee allows 58.4.
Which team will make the game in their style? The Volunteers may want to open it up after the grind they went through at Auburn, but they will need to get better shooting from Jordan Gainey (7-for-23 last three) and Igor Milicic Jr. (2-for-11 last two).
Brea (46.2 percent on 3-pointers) can help the Wildcats score and will be key in their efforts during March Madness.
However, the under has done well in the matchup. Think 76-70 final or less.
Bet on Kentucky vs Tennessee Under 147.5
4. Jordan Gainey 14+ Points (+137)
The 6-3 senior guard has not shot the ball well lately, especially on the road. However, Gainey is due to get going.
You will have to get big efforts from Lanier and Zeigler for Tennessee and Oweh of Kentucky to make some cash, but you can hit if Gainey lifts his game just a bit. Don’t forget Gainey scored 23 at Illinois in a close win.

The best bet is for Gainey to score 14+, but 16+ gives you +216 odds and 2+ 3-point makes +102. All those are great options for your college basketball betting picks today.
Bet on Jordan Gainey 14+ points (+137)
