The Louisville Cardinals meet the Clemson Tigers in what is a virtual pick’em game in the college basketball lines on Friday with a trip to the ACC tournament final as the reward for a victory.

Neither team impressed as they extended winning streaks in the quarterfinals. Louisville blew an eight-point lead in the final 1:56 before getting rescued by Chucky Hepburn’s buzzer beater, while Clemson grinded out a 57-54 win over SMU.

They both will have to play much better for us to recommend them to be prominent in your March Madness betting, but the Cardinals have won 10 straight and the Tigers own nine consecutive victories.

Louisville vs Clemson Prediction Today

Clemson 76, Louisville 72

The Tigers got involved in a slow, physical game against SMU and should be much better on Friday. Clemson beat Duke to start its win streak and leading scorer Chase Hunter woke up last time out. It won’t be easy, but the Tigers (-1½) are our college basketball pick in this one.

Louisville vs Clemson 2 Betting Picks

1. Bet on Clemson -1½ ATS

The Tigers were 20 points under their average against SMU, so you can’t expect them to shoot 38.3 percent from the field and 4-of-21 from 3-point range again.

Hunter scored 21 to lead the way for Clemson after averaging nine the previous four contests. They should get more from inside force Ian Schieffelin, who had nine points and 12 boards and Jaeden Zackery (11 points).

The Tigers have some value odds to win the NCAAB Championship at +6500 and we expect them to lower them after a strong effort in the semifinals.

Bet Clemson (-1½)

2. Bet Over 140 Points

Clemson averages 77 points and four players score at least 11 per contest while Louisville averages almost 80 and boast two players on a major roll.

Hepburn’s big shot gave him 20 for the game in the semifinals and he is averaging 22.2 over the past six games, but Terrence Edwards Jr. has topped that the last four contests (24.8), per Clemson vs Louisville stats.

If Reyne Smith (13.4 ppg) can return from an ankle injury, it would help Louisville and over bettors as well. Check late college basketball news for his status, but this game should be in the mid to upper 70s.

Louisville vs Clemson Best Player Prop Pick

  • Bet Schieffelin 15+ Points In Clemson win (+334)

Edwards and Hepburn are safe bets if you lean toward Louisville in this toss-up contest, but Schieffelin could be due for a big game.

The 6-foot-8 senior was banged around against SMU and could have a little more room to operate. He had 10 points and 10 rebounds against the Cardinals – one of only two losses for Clemson since Christmas. You have strong value with Schieffelin for your player prop bet.

Bet Schieffelin 15+ points in Clemson win (+334)
