Visitors Face Daunting Task Against Blue Devils

Blue Devils Looking for Fourth Win in Row

March Madness betting is going to continue to get better as the year moves along, but there are always plenty of games to explore each day. The Duke Blue Devils host the Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawks on Saturday in what appears to be a lopsided matchup.

Maryland-Eastern Shore comes into this game with an overall record of 3-6 and has lost three of its last four games. The Hawks haven’t been afraid to challenge themselves with a tough schedule, and this would qualify under those terms.

Duke is 9-2 and is currently on a three-game winning streak. The Blue Devils have slipped to No. 15 in the most recent poll, but there is time for this team to get back in the top 10.

The college basketball odds for this game on Saturday has the Duke Blue Devils as the betting favorites.

Let’s check the latest college basketball odds, stats, injury reports and college basketball lines for Maryland-Eastern Shore vs Duke. We’ve plenty of NCAA basketball odds for you to consider.

Hawks Have to Slow Things Down

Maryland-Eastern Shore only has one chance of winning this game, and that’s to completely slow things down on both ends. The Hawks are scoring just 62 points per game and are shooting less than 40 percent from the floor.

Guard Zion Styles leads the team with 11 points per game, but this team just doesn’t have a ton of weapons on offense. The Hawks have to take care of the basketball and look for the best shot on every opportunity.

Slowing down Duke and protecting the paint are also going to be a huge key, but the Hawks might struggle in that area. Don’t be surprised to see Maryland-Eastern Shore throw some junk defenses at the Blue Devils.

Duke Needs More Offense

After an impressive win over Iowa earlier this week, Duke head coach Jon Scheyer said, “When I found out I was going to be the head coach at Duke, two things are connected to Duke basketball: playing defense and sharing the ball. We’ll continue to emphasize that, but just proud of the effort.”

Duke has been a solid defensive team this season, but at some point it has to score. Duke has held opponents to just 59 points per game, and the Blue Devils are going to put up a low number in this game. That defense should eventually lead to some good scoring chances, but the Blue Devils also have to make shots.

Kyle Filipowski comes into this game with 15 points per game, and he has been able to score inside. Duke needs the guards to find a way to have a much better performance in this one.

Maryland-Eastern Shore vs Duke Picks & Prediction

There are so many great betting online opportunities available on the sport of college basketball, but this will be a tough one to predict. Despite a very large spread in this game, Duke should still be able to cover.

The Hawks just aren’t scoring a ton of points and it’s hard to see them doing much damage against the Blue Devils. Duke has an offense that can score points in a hurry and should be able to take complete control in this one.

Head to BetUS Sportsbook and take the Duke Blue Devils to not only win this game, but to also cover the spread that is set.
