Johni Broome, who leads the team in scoring (17.9), rebounds (10.7), assists (3.3) and blocks (2.7), has been ruled out with an ankle injury sustained at South Carolina in the 66-63 win on Saturday. However, Auburn still has five other players averaging at least 10 points.
The Tigers have won eight in a row since an 84-78 loss at Duke and Mississippi State had won eight straight before dropping a 95-90 decision to Kentucky on Saturday.
You must decide before making your online bet whether the Bulldogs are ready for a big road effort or Auburn has the depth to step up without its star big man.

Top Mississippi State vs Auburn Betting Tips
1. Auburn (-330)
Broome is out indefinitely and that will give a host of players the chance to shine with some tough games coming up.
The first will be against Mississippi State, with Auburn down to a 7½-point favorite after the news on Broome. Per Mississippi State vs Auburn stats, the Tigers had scored at least 84 points in seven straight games before grinding out the win at South Carolina.
Tahaad Pettiford (11.3) stepped up to score 15 against South Carolina and Denver Jones (10.3) is always a threat at the point. Miles Kelly (10.3) has also totaled 32 points the past two contests.
That doesn’t even mention second-leading scorer Chad Baker-Mazara (12.7) and Chaney Johnson (10.1), who is shooting 60 percent from the field. There are several ways the Tigers can turn for scoring.
Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl said the Tigers’ no. 1 AP ranking is “deserving” based on their schedule and the teams they’ve defeated.

The Bulldogs should make it competitive with Broome not patrolling the middle. Expect a better game from KeShawn Murphy (9.8 points) after he managed 12 total the last two. Mississippi State has also been good on the road (3-0) with wins at SMU, Memphis and Vanderbilt.
3. Denver Jones Double Prop
Broome is truly in the middle of everything for Auburn, but his absence will show those whether the Tigers can still be a force without him.
The overall statistics say Auburn is more than one player. The Tigers are ranked the most efficient offensive team in the country, shooting 50.6 percent from the field with just 9.1 turnovers per game (sixth best in the nation).
Kentucky moves up two spots to #21 in KenPom’s rankings, and they now have the #3 ranked offense in the country.

Kelly and Pettiford have had big games of late, but if we are looking for value we would bet on Jones and Baker-Mazara in your NCAAB player props. Baker-Mazara is shooting 52.1 percent from the field and Jones has the ball in his hands a lot.
Bet Denver Jones 3+ assists and Auburn wins (-141)
