There will be four top-10 teams in action on Tuesday with the game that figures to attract the most attention coming in Milwaukee when Purdue is a road underdog against Marquette. Kansas, UConn, and Kentucky don’t have quite as challenging matchups.

When making college basketball picks today, Florida State is the only Power-4 conference team favored by less than 10 points at home on Tuesday.

Arkansas, Texas Tech, and Wisconsin all failed to cover as home favorites on Monday. Will that be a sign of things to come when the games get going on Tuesday?

3 Best NCAAB Picks for 11/19

1. UNC Wilmington-Kansas to Land Over 158

Top-ranked Kansas hasn’t exactly been running teams off the court early in the season but the Jayhawks do own wins over North Carolina and Michigan State.

The last time out, the Jayhawks let up a bit as Kansas was outscored by unranked Oakland in the second half. The Jayhawks still won 78-57.

Next up is UNC Wilmington. It is safe to assume that the Kansas coaches will remind the players that UNC Wilmington beat Kentucky the last time the Seahawks faced a ranked team. The most recent matchup with a No. 1 team was a closer-than-anticipated loss to North Carolina in 2022.

With a huge matchup against Duke around the corner, expect the Jayhawks to get the offense going and that could be enough for the game to land over the 158-point total when making college basketball predictions.

2. Purdue (+5) to Cover at Marquette

Marquette has found a way to win in recent games. The Golden Eagles trailed George Mason at halftime before pulling away for a 21-point win. That was followed by an eight-point win over Central Michigan and a four-point victory on the road against Maryland.

Next up is a battle of 4-0 teams as Purdue comes to town. Obviously, the Boilermakers look much different with 7-foot-4 Zach Edey now one of the contenders for the NBA Rookie of the Year award but seeing the 2024 national finalists as a five-point underdog certainly should attract the attention of those who bet online.

Marquette could be a solid pick to win outright but we like Purdue to cover as a road underdog.

3. Villanova Will Struggle to Cover As a Double-Digit Favorite

Villanova is a mess right now. The Wildcats opened the season by struggling against Lafayette. Some of that could have been attributed to top scorer Eric Dixon serving a one-game suspension for taking part in a pre-draft camp.

However, the Wildcats lost to Columbia by 10 points with Dixon back on the court. The last two games saw Villanova fall to Saint Joseph’s 83-76 and lose at home to Virginia 70-60. The Wildcats are back home to meet up with Penn in their second Big 5 Classic matchup of the season. It won’t be a surprise to see Villanova return to the win column but it might be a struggle to cover when listed by NCAA basketball betting lines as a 14.5-point favorite.
