There are just two ranked teams in action and it will be tough to top what happened on Wednesday night, with one overtime game involving a ranked team and two others being decided on a late basket. Kansas star Hunter Dickinson was one of our Jan. 22 best bets to come through.

Memphis and Illinois are the only Top 25 teams in action on Thursday. When looking at the odds of winning March Madness, Illinois is 12th at 3000 in the NCAAM championship odds while Memphis is coming in at +6000.
Considering how our game picks from Wednesday turned out, we’re going with three prop picks today.
Top 3 College Basketball Prop Picks Today
1. Kylan Boswell 25+ Combined Points, Rebounds and Assists
Kylan Boswell had a triple-double against Chicago State but the Illinois guard would love to make a run at one of those in Big Ten play. He came close with 10 points, eight rebounds and six assists against USC.
When looking at the college basketball trends, Boswell has been much more productive on the road than he has been at home.
Spreading the love.
Tre White – 20 PTS, 11 REB, 4 AST
Ben Humrichous – 18 PTS
KJ Jakucionis – 16 PTS, 6 REB, 6 AST
Kylan Boswell – 15 PTS, 4 AST
Jake Davis – 12 PTS
Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn – 11 PTS pic.twitter.com/2WESss1wY3— Illinois Men’s Basketball (@IlliniMBB) January 3, 2025
The Pomeroy basketball database has Maryland in the top 25 in defensive efficiency and in the top 75 in adjusted tempo, so it won’t be an easy night at the office for Boswell and the Fighting Illini.
When looking at the best Jan. 23 college basketball props, Boswell comes in at +125 to have at least 25 combined points, rebounds and assists.
Bet On Kylan Boswell To Have 25+ Points, Rebounds and Assists (+125)
2. Derik Queen +8 Rebounds
It has been a tough stretch for Maryland freshman Derik Queen, who scored 12 points on 4-of-13 shooting in the last two games for the Terrapins.
He began to make some noise when he dropped 24 points in a loss to a ranked Marquette team in mid-November, per Maryland vs Illinois stats. The next time Queen played against a ranked team, he was even better with 26 points and 12 rebounds as Maryland threw a scare into Purdue.

Don’t look for those kinds of numbers in Thursday’s matchup with Illinois but when making college basketball picks, go with Queen at -105 to have at least eight rebounds.
Bet On Derik Queen To Have 8+ Rebounds (-105)
3. Luke Barrett 7+ Rebounds in a Saint Mary’s Win (+150)
While Luke Barrett often gets overshadowed by some of his teammates, the fifth-year Saint Mary’s senior is coming off his 13th game of the season with at least seven rebounds.
He was not much of a factor in the two games against San Francisco last season. However, he has gone from averaging 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game to putting up 11.2 points and 7.2 rebounds in 36.5 minutes, per San Francisco vs Saint Mary’s stats.
San Francisco is looking to hand Saint Mary’s its first WCC loss of the season and remain in second place in the WCC standings. That might be hard to do with the Gaels listed by the college basketball lines as a 10-point favorite.
Go with Barrett to have at least seven points in a win by Saint Mary’s as that pays out at +150 when looking at a best bet for Jan. 23.
Bet On Luke Barrett to Have 7+ Rebounds in a Saint Mary’s Win (+150)
