1. Utah ATS +19.5
Houston was fortunate to escape with a 69-68 win over UCF the last time out as J’Wan Roberts hit a layup with 1.1 seconds left to play. He finished with 21 points but was the only starter in double figures.
The Cougars are back home to face Utah. The last time the Utes played a ranked team, it did not go well as Iowa State cruised to a 23-point win.

Even though Utah has won three games in a row to improve to 3-3 in conference play in its first season in the Big 12, we aren’t ready to pick Utah to pull off the huge upset when making our Jan. 22 college basketball picks. However, we’ll roll with the Utes to cover as 19.5-point underdogs.
2. Indiana +6 to Cover at Northwestern
We’ve been burned by Indiana this season as the talent level on this roster hasn’t always resulted in impressive performances.
For just the fourth time in the last 13 seasons, Northwestern is favored against Indiana.
Per Indiana vs Northwestern stats, the Wildcats are 9-1 at home this season but also just 2-5 in the Big Ten. Northwestern threw a scare into a ranked Michigan team the last time out as Brooks Barnhizer and Nick Martinelli combined for 41 points.
Indiana’s most recent road game was a 77-76 overtime victory against Ohio State. Now the Hoosiers look to win on the road again.
The Hoosiers are 0-5 outright and against the college basketball spread in their last five times when listed as the underdog against Northwestern. We’re looking for that trend to end with Michigan finding a way to cover as a road underdog.
3. Kansas’ Hunter Dickinson to have 16+ Points (-115)
Hunter Dickinson’s fifth season of college basketball and second with the Kansas Jayhawks has been a bit of a grind. He is averaging 15.8 points, his lowest mark since he was a freshman at Michigan.
Dickinson has been much more effective at home. However, the Jayhawks will be facing a Texas Tech team with a 9-2 record on its home court on Wednesday. The last time Texas Tech played at home, a talented Arizona team was limited to just 54 points. Expect more from Kansas when it comes to college basketball best bets.

Dickinson is coming off a 25-point effort on 10-of-17 shooting in a win over Kansas State. Texas Tech should make things a little more difficult for Dickinson but the -115 odds for Dickinson to have 16+ points are pretty enticing when making college basketball player prop bets.
