NCAAB Tuesday 20 Parlay: Iowa, Baylor Top Underdog Picks

Eight ranked teams will be in action on Tuesday night with the college basketball schedule, including a pair of matchups between ranked teams. One of them includes 11th-ranked Baylor, which is a road underdog for just the fourth time this season.

When looking at the college basketball odds, the Bears are one of the teams we are going with as part of a three-legged parlay.

NCAAB Tuesday 20 Parlay: Iowa, Baylor Top Underdog Picks

Iowa is another road underdog to keep an eye on while West Coast Conference front-runner Saint Mary’s looks to keep on rolling to the program’s first outright WCC regular-season title since the 2011-12 season.

With last week’s three-team parlay cashing out, we look to make it two in a row.

Houston edged Iowa State in the only game featuring ranked teams on Monday but the Cyclones covered as the nine-point underdogs on the road. Is that an indication of how things might play out on Tuesday?

When looking at the odds of winning March Madness, Baylor is at +4000 and Saint Mary’s comes in at +8000 in the championship odds. Michigan State is at +5500 in the title odds largely because of head coach Tom Izzo.

Here are three parlay options to consider heading into Tuesday”s action.

Iowa to Cover as -9 ½-Point Road Underdogs

In the first of our college basketball picks and parlays, both Iowa and Michigan State have had more talented teams as they are set to clash in East Lansing.

Iowa’s 2-7 road record is a bit concerning as the Hawkeyes have lost three straight road games, including the last two by double digits.

Michigan State is showing some signs of life with three wins in a row. However, the Spartans needed a pair of late free throws to beat a terrible Michigan team by 10 points. That makes the 9½-point line in this game set by the NCAAB Vegas odds a little tempting for those who bet online to roll with the underdog Hawkeyes to cover, especially considering that Iowa has covered in each of its last three road games against Michigan State.

Baylor Solid Pick as -4 Underdog in Provo

If not for a rough start against Kansas that saw the visiting Bears fall behind by 12 points on multiple occasions in the first half, Baylor could be taking a six-game winning streak on the road to face BYU.

With BYU in its first season as a Big 12 member, there isn’t much history between the programs, with this being the first meeting since 2011.

Baylor’s road results are rather mediocre this season but the last three losses by the Bears are by three points or less. That is something to consider when it comes to the NCAAB ATS picks.

If Baylor team can play Kansas to a three-point game on the road, why not go with the Bears to do the same against a BYU team that barely topped UCF in its last home game?

Saint Mary’s-San Francisco Showdown to Go Over 132½ Points

Five of the last six times that Saint Mary’s squared off against San Francisco, the game landed over the total.

The total in those matchups ranged from 129-132.5 and it is right in that range again at 132.5.

Saint Mary’s scored 103 points at home on Tuesday. While another triple-digit game might be asking a bit much, the Gaels have a two-game lead in the WCC standings with four games left. Saint Mary’s is looking to snap Gonzaga’s 11-season run as WCC regular-season champions or co-championships.

Saint Mary’s can become the first non-Gonzaga team since Pepperdine in 1999 to run the table in the WCC so there is plenty for which to play.

Saint Mary’s is eighth in defensive efficiency according to the Pomeroy college basketball ratings so scoring on the Gaels is not easy. Still, we like this game to finish over the total.
