For the second consecutive season, the Ohio State Buckeyes and Duke Blue Devils will clash in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. Ohio State upset a top-ranked Duke squad last season, 71-66. This time, the Blue Devils will have the home advantage with the Cameron Crazies fueling a ruckus atmosphere.
No. 17 Duke is 1-3 against the spread over the last four games and comes off a 75-56 loss against No. 5 Purdue. No. 25 Ohio State cracked the AP Poll for the first time this week after winning back-to-back games against Cincinnati and Texas Tech.
Let’s check the latest college basketball odds, stats, injury reports and college basketball lines for Ohio State vs Duke. We’ve plenty of NCAA basketball odds for you to consider.
Buckeyes Hitting Their Stride
Throughout the week of Thanksgiving, we see numerous tournaments with loaded fields. These invitationals allow teams to develop and mesh, especially in the transfer portal era. Ohio State greatly benefitted from participating in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational.
Following a 88-77 loss to San Diego State, the Buckeyes bounced back with two impressive wins against Cincinnati (81-53) and Texas Tech (80-73). Ohio State’s offense is rolling, averaging 79.3 points over the last three. Plus, the unit is shooting better than 48% from the floor. Forwards Justice Sueing (14.5 points) and Brice Sensabaugh (15.8 points) are talented scorers with NBA upside. Sueing comes off a career-high of 33 points. OSU has hit the over in two of the last three games.

Ohio State is playing its best basketball heading into Wednesday’s game. The Buckeyes are undersized with 6-foot-8 Zed Key manning the center spot. OSU will need to rebound well and defend the paint against a tall and lengthy Duke team.
Duke is Searching for Answers
Duke also participated in a tournament last week as the Phil Knight Legacy was a harsh reality for the Blue Devils. The offense played poorly, averaging 60.3 points while shooting 37.2% from the field. Plus, Duke shot less than 30% from 3-point land. The Devils have gone under in four straight, and in seven of their last eight games.
The offense needs to replicate its performance against Xavier on Nov. 25. Duke attempted only 11 shots from beyond the arc and attacked the paint. The Blue Devils lack consistent 3-point shooters, but they have plenty of length and athleticism. Duke also has a size advantage against Ohio State.
Injuries are part of the problem. Freshman wing Dariq Whitehead, who could be the Devils’ most talented player, has been limited following a foot injury. He has yet to find a groove, shooting only 29.4% from the field. Also, 7-foot-1 Dereck Lively II has nursed a calf injury with limited minutes. Both players are expected to be major contributors. Yet, Whitehead has been highly inefficient, and Lively is adding little outside of shot-blocking.
The Blue Devils must improve in the scoring department against Ohio State’s efficient offense.

Ohio State vs Duke Picks & Prediction
Ohio State will have a hard time overcoming Duke’s size advantage. This will be the best rebounding team the Buckeyes have faced. San Diego State, which is one of college basketball’s worst rebounding teams, won the battle on the glass against OSU last week. The Buckeyes must make 3-pointers to win. Duke will gain momentum with a win and cover.
For the total, go with the under. OSU could struggle to score in the paint and Duke has an inefficient offense.
