Can Wisconsin Keep Train Rolling?

No. 16 Ohio State Pays Visit to No. 13 Badgers

The Wisconsin Badgers are one of the hottest teams in college basketball. They just completed a seven-day stretch in which they played and won three games.

Johnny Davis has become a nationally recognized name in college basketball. The No. 13 Badgers will try to remain in high gear when they play host to the 16th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in a very significant Big Ten clash in Madison.

Ohio State Buckeyes at Wisconsin Badgers

Visitors Need to Improve in Obvious Ways

The Buckeyes want to make a deep March Madness run after being upset as a No. 2 seed by 15th-seeded Oral Roberts in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. Big man E.J. Liddell continues to be one of the very best players in the nation for the Buckeyes.

Liddell scored 34 points for OSU in a win over Northwestern on Sunday. He hit 12 of 20 field goal attempts and all five free throws. He has simply dominated for the Buckeyes and has been an anchor for head coach Chris Holtmann.

However, his teammates need to step up and help him. Also, Ohio State’s team defense needs to become a lot tougher.

The Buckeyes did beat Northwestern because they scored 95 points. They gave up 87. There’s no way Ohio State will beat Wisconsin if it gives up 87 points.

Wisconsin is playing strong defense and is performing at a very high level. Ohio State will need to significantly elevate its level of intensity and concentration.

Recent performances against Northwestern and in a lopsided loss at Indiana just won’t cut it. Ohio State needs to get more serious about its season.

Wisconsin Faces Proving-Ground Moment

Wisconsin is coming off a seven-day stretch from last week in which it played and won three games: at Purdue, at home against Iowa and at Maryland.

Davis has been spectacular in those three games, lighting up the scoreboard and providing huge crunch-time buckets for the Badgers. He has put himself squarely in the conversation for National Player Of The Year in college hoops.

A top contender for the Naismith Award. Davis averaged 27 points in the last three games. That’s elite, period. He also averaged 10 rebounds and three assists. That’s insane. No one is playing better basketball.

Davis needs to keep it rolling for the Badgers. This is such an important game for them, primarily because Ohio State beat them 73-55 a month ago.

Wisconsin needs to gain revenge and show it can make adjustments after being roughed up. The Badgers also want to affirm their place atop the Big Ten standings.

Wisconsin has a real chance to win the conference championship. Beating Ohio State at home is a must, so that’s one of the strongest cases why to take the Badgers with your college basketball picks.

Will Ohio State sweep Badgers?

The season began with Purdue being the consensus pick to win the Big Ten. Wisconsin’s win at Purdue and subsequent three-game winning streak has now put the Badgers at the forefront of the conference.

Will Ohio State shift the conversation again or will Wisconsin stand its ground? Davis is so locked in right now that it’s very hard to go against the surging Badgers if you bet online.

That’s feels especially true at home on a night when they will seek revenge.

Parlay: Badgers -3½ & Under 140

Pick: Under 140

Pick: Badgers -3½
