The Baylor Bears have picked up where they left off and they look to extend their winning streak against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Tuesday’s game could be the 16th consecutive win for the Bears, who are the heavy favorites in NCAA basketball betting markets.

Texas Tech Red Raiders at Baylor Bears
Bounce Back By Tech
The Texas Tech Red Raiders didn’t look good when scoring just 47 points in a 51-47 defeat to Iowa State, but they bounced back in fine style.
A surprise 75-67 win over Kansas is enough to get the momentum back in their favor and it saw them improve to 11-3. It’s a solid effort and their last two losses have come to excellent teams.
Losing to Gonzaga and Iowa State is nothing to be ashamed of and bettors have cashed in. They are 8-6 against the spread after covering the number against Kansas by 15 points.
The sportsbook isn’t giving them much respect against Baylor. They are +12 in betting markets, which is a sizable number for a quality team.
However, Baylor is the testing material, so the Red Raiders will need to bring their best form to the table.
A concern is with the Red Raiders playing on the road. They are 0-2 away from home, so if they don’t start well, they could get blown off the court early.
Baylor Offense Firing
The Baylor Bears are the best team in the country and it primarily comes down to offense.
They rank inside the top 15 for points scored and field goal percentage, which makes it tough for the opposition to slow them down.
They scored 104 points in an easy win against Northwestern before beating Iowa State, Oklahoma and TCU. Those are high-level wins, so the Bears are tracking nicely.
The Bears are 14-4-1 ATS in their last 19 games following a win and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 home games. Having scored two road wins from their last three games is ideal, as they’ll be battle-hardened.
Beating TCU didn’t come easily after trailing 37-31 in the first half, but scoring 45 points in the second half turned the tide.
James Akinjo had 20 points and eight assists in the comeback victory.
“We wanted to stay poised,” Akinjo told ESPN. “We’re the No. 1 team and everybody is going to see how you respond to situations like that. When we got down, we never panicked. I was just trying to keep us all poised. That’s my job at point guard.”
It’s not surprising to see betting online markets post Baylor as -12 favorites. It has been beating most teams with ease and with a spread record of 9-5-1, bettors have been cashing in.
Bears to Continue Streak
The Bears could end the season unbeaten, which would be an incredible feat after winning the title last season.
They have a few tough games to go, including against the Red Raiders, but with the help of home-court advantage, they should prevail with ease.
Winning 15 on the bounce isn’t easy to do, so their confidence should be through the roof and they’re one of our college basketball best bets for Tuesday.
