San Diego State Wants Revenge
The San Diego State Aztecs are seeking revenge against the team that held them to 37 total points in January.
The Aztecs are riding a five-game winning streak into this one, winning their last four games by double digits. They’re a small underdog on the NCAA odds in this spot, so maybe there’s some value with them.
As for the Boise State Broncos, they have won 18 out of their last 20 games and are at the top of the Mountain West Conference. They have a half-game lead on Wyoming and a two-game lead on San Diego State.
That makes this a fairly important contest relating to March Madness odds as the regular season winds down. Which of these teams can pick up the huge win here?
San Diego State: Stellar Defense
It is really difficult to put up points consistently on the Aztecs. This group allows just 57.1 points per game, which is second-best mark in the country. Meanwhile, they’re scoring 65.4 points per contest.
The Aztecs fly all around the court and force opponents into mistakes. They put the muzzle on Boise State, limiting them to just 42 points in the previous matchup.

Boise State: Team Approach

Offensively, though, they are completely different. There isn’t really one player that stands out as four players are averaging double digits in scoring.
Abu Kigab leads this department with 13.8 points per game. He has ample support but they all labored in the first meeting between the sides.

One tell here is the home-away splits. San Diego State is 12-1 at home but just 3-4 on the road. As for the Broncos, they’re a healthy 11-3 at home.
