The Louisville Cardinals are a good bet as an 11-point favorite in the college basketball lines to reach the ACC tournament semifinals when they take on the Stanford Cardinal on Thursday.

Louisville, making a comeback after several down seasons, rolled over Stanford 68-48 last Saturday as an 11-point favorite for its ninth straight victory. The Cardinals held Stanford to 30.4 percent shooting.

The Cardinal fell behind by eight, but rallied to grind out a 78-73 win over California in the second round on Wednesday. However, we doubt Stanford is part of many NCAA basketball expert picks on Thursday.

Stanford vs Louisville Prediction Today

Louisville 76, Stanford 62

The Cardinals come in rested and rolling, even though their nine straight wins came against teams that likely won’t be in the NCAA Tournament. Stanford (5-5 last 10) had to expend a lot of energy in the win over injury-depleted Cal and will likely watch talented Louisville pull away in the second half.

Stanford vs Louisville Betting Picks

1. Louisville -11 ATS

The Cardinals have only lost once since Dec. 14 and boast wins over Clemson and North Carolina along the way. Their odds to win March Madness are high (+10000), but they will be in the Big Dance for the first time since 2019.

Louisville held Stanford to its season low and the Cardinal managed just 18 points in the first half last weekend. Chucky Hepburn leads the Cardinals in scoring (16.3) and he was also named the top defender in the ACC with 2.4 steals per contest.

Terrence Edwards Jr. (15.8 ppg) has been on fire the last three games for Louisville while J’Vonne Hadley (12.4) is consistent. Third-leading scorer Reyne Smith (13.4) missed the Stanford game with an ankle injury, so check NCAA basketball news for his status.

Bet On Louisville -11

2. Bet Under 142 Points

Louisville has kept seven of its last nine opponents under 70 points, per NCAAB betting trends, and the defensive effort against Stanford last weekend was topped only by its season opener against Morehead State (93-45).

Stanford does have players who can put up points. Leading scorer Maxime Raynaud is averaging 21.1 points the last seven games and had one of his three double-doubles in the last five contests versus Louisville (17 points, 11 boards).

However, the under is 4-0 in the Cardinals’ last four games and 5-1 in the past six for Stanford. The 116 points last Saturday easily sent under bettors to the pay window by 31. That’s your best sports bet again.

Bet on Cardinal vs Cardinals under 142

Stanford vs Louisville Best Player Prop Pick

  • Terrence Edwards Jr. 18+ Points in Louisville Win (+108)

Louisville probably shouldn’t be one of your NCAA basketball futures bets to win it all, but the Cardinals could make a mild run with players like Hepburn and Edwards.

Edwards is averaging 24.7 points the last three games, including 35 versus Cal last week. The 6-foot-6 guard scored in double figures in both NCAA Tournament games last season for James Madison. We expect another big tournament game versus Stanford.

Bet on Edwards Jr +18 points in Louisville win (+108)
