Take Furman to Cover vs Arkansas in NCAAB Picks for Dec. 4

The Arkansas Razorbacks will look to build on their top-10 win over Duke when they host the Furman Paladins on Monday. The Razorbacks put an end to their two-game skid when they took down No. 7 Duke at home. Furman will be hoping to bounce back from a loss of its own. According to NCAAB predictions, however, Arkansas is a double-digit favorite at home over the Paladins.

Furman Falls at the Buzzer

The Furman Paladins lost for the third time in four games after falling to Princeton on a buzzer-beater to lose by one.

The Tigers hit a 3-pointer with just over four seconds remaining to grab the win. Despite the loss, Furman kept up its hot shooting and finished shooting 49% overall to average 50.5% from the floor in its last three games.

The Paladins were also missing their leading scorer, Marcus Foster, who has averaged 19.8 points. He exited with an injury in the second half, leaving others to step up in his absence, with three finishing in double-digits.

Foster’s status will be something to keep an eye on, but Furman’s hot shooting should help keep it in the game to be a solid NCAA basketball pick regardless.

Arkansas Wins Big

The Razorbacks will get a lighter task when they face Furman after a pair of top-15 matchups against North Carolina and Duke recently.

After Arkansas struggled to slow down the No. 14 Tar Heels in its 15-point loss, giving up 87 points on 49.1% shooting, it had a better showing against No. 7 Duke, holding the Blue Devils to 75 points on 35.8% shooting for the victory.

However, the Razorbacks have also had issues playing to their opponents’ ability this season. They fell earlier to UNC Greensboro after allowing 78 points on 48.1% shooting and struggled to put away Old Dominion as well, winning by nine after giving up 77.

Arkansas will look to ride the momentum of its last win, but with its tendency to play down to opponents, bettors may want to see how it starts before looking at some live betting odds.

Furman vs Arkansas Best Bet

The sportsbook has Arkansas as a heavy favorite at home against Furman, however the Paladins should be a good NCAA basketball bet to cover the 11 ½-point spread from NCAA basketball lines.

Furman is a strong shooting team, and the Razorbacks have had some issues with that, even against inferior opponents. It should help keep the Paladins within the single-digit range.

Arkansas also has a meeting with another Top 25 team in Oklahoma up next, and after just downing No. 7 Duke at home, the Razorbacks could be in danger of getting themselves into a trap game situation against Furman.

The Razorbacks failed to cover the double-digit spread against UNC Greensboro, Gardner-Webb and Old Dominion, and they shouldn’t against Furman either.
