Take Texas to Cover Big Line vs Texas State
The No. 16 Texas Longhorns will look to keep their undefeated streak at home alive when they host the Texas State Bobcats on Thursday. The Longhorns have gotten out to a hot start at 5-1, with their only loss coming against then-No. 5 UConn. They have a chance to continue that when the struggling Bobcats come to town. College basketball lines have Texas as a double-digit favorite yet again, but it should be a solid play to cover at home.
Texas State Turns it Around
The Bobcats picked up their third win of the season and stalled a two-game skid following a better offensive performance against UT Arlington.
After Texas State averaged 57.5 points and a 41.3% shooting percentage in its prior two losses, it bounced back by scoring 73 points on 45.5% shooting against the Mavericks, led by 21 points from Jordan Mason.
However, Texas will bring a taller task than UT Arlington, and the last time the Bobcats played a team of its caliber, it didn’t go well either. They struggled against Oklahoma as well, scoring 54 points on 31.3% shooting.
Texas State will try to continue its offensive flow against the Longhorns, but that isn’t a likely NCAA basketball bet after its game against the Sooners.

The Longhorns bounced back from their first loss of the season with a double-digit victory over Wyoming behind another big game from its offense.
Though Texas scored just 71 points in its loss to UConn, it has scored 80 or more points in all of its other games, finishing with 86 points on a blistering 55.7% shooting from the field in its latest win.
The Longhorns also shot it well from deep at a 40% clip and their shooting has been nearly lights out overall at home. They have averaged a 54.9% shooting percentage from the field in their four home games.
Texas will look to continue their hot shooting at home, and with Texas State up next, it should be a strong pick in NCAA basketball predictions to do so.
