After reviewing the NCAAB lines, we locked on to this Wednesday night clash between a struggling DePaul team and an eager Texas A&M squad that has not been defeated in their last 13 games at home. Let’s consider the college basketball odds on this matchup and keep cashing our NCAAB picks.
DePaul Blown Away Last Time Out
DePaul began the season on an inauspicious note, dropping its first game of the season to a Horizon Conference foe, the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons, by the score of 82-74, despite being tagged as 11½-point home chalk by the major online sports betting sites.
Things haven’t gotten much better as the Blue Demons’ only victory came on Nov. 14 when they dispatched South Dakota 72-60 and easily covered as 9½-point home favorites.
However, the Demons stand at 1-6 straight up and against the number after getting blown out in their last outing, a 99-80 loss to Iowa State on Friday. If there was a silver lining, the 80 points they scored were a season high with senior Jeremiah Oden leading all scorers with 25 points.
Texas A&M Suffocated by Virginia
The Texas A&M Aggies last took the court a week ago and entered with a 6-1 mark as they traveled to meet Virginia as 2-½ point road dogs. But when the smoke cleared, A&M left Charlottesville with its second loss of the season, a 59-47 defensive battle in which the Aggies melted like butter in a blast furnace in the second half.
Texas A&M kept it close in the first half, trailing 27-26, but UVA clamped down on defense and held the Aggies to just 21 points the rest of the way. It was the lowest scoring output for A&M this season by a wide margin. Its previous low was 73 points in wins over Ohio State and Iowa State.
Turnovers plagued the Aggies throughout the contest, giving the ball away 16 times, but they outrebounded Virginia, 42-30, and held a 16-3 advantage in second-chance points. Nevertheless, a poor shooting performance saw A&M hit just 30.4% from the field and connect on only 17% of their shots from beyond the arc.

DePaul vs Texas A&M Best Bet
There are several factors to consider in this game besides the obvious disparity in talent. Texas A&M will be coming home after a three-game road trip while DePaul will play its first game on the road this season.
We should also note that Aggies shooting guard Tyrece Radford did not play for the second straight game when they faced Virginia. His presence would have allowed the Aggies to at least create a more kinetic offense but whether that would have been enough to push through the team’s second-half malaise is anybody’s guess.

Lastly, A&M defeated Iowa State 73-69, as 3½ point road dogs, according to the prevailing college basketball lines, less than two weeks ago without the services of Radford or second-leading scorer Henry Coleman III. Compare that to DePaul’s most recent 18-point home loss to that same Iowa State team and you get an idea of the difference in caliber between these clubs.
Lay it with the Aggies at home on Wednesday night.
NCAAB Pick: Texas A&M -19 ½
