The Auburn Tigers have moved into the top five nationally and they’ll to cement their position with a road win over the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Despite the difference in rankings, betting online markets have the Crimson Tide as -3 favorites for the SEC matchup.

Auburn Tigers at Alabama Crimson Tide
11-Game Winning Streak
The Auburn Tigers have won 11 consecutive games and it will take a good Alabama team to stop them.
They come off some impressive wins over the likes of LSU, South Carolina and Florida, where they weren’t tested.
Beating a team like LSU 70-55 is an exceptional performance and they are 11-4 against the spread, so bettors have been cashing in with regularity.
The Tigers have covered the spread in four consecutive games and they have been favored in their last 10. However, the sportsbook has them as +3 underdogs to beat Alabama (11-4).
Walker Kessler has been having a great season. He had 16 points, 11 blocked shots and 10 rebounds against LSU, which was an incredible performance.
“I think that we have, if not the best defense in the country, one of the most elite ones,” Kessler told ESPN. “I think we showed that tonight. We played aggressive, blocked shots, went after loose balls.”
Going in Auburn’s favor is its record away from home. The Tigers are 3-0 on the road, including an 81-66 win over South Carolina.
Bettors should be confident of another tidy Auburn performance.
Alabama Stemming the Tide
Just when it looks like the Alabama Crimson Tide are hitting top gear, they throw in a poor performance.
They scored consecutive wins over Tennessee and Florida, which ranked highly. However, they followed it with a disappointing 92-86 loss to Missouri as a -14½ favorite.
The Crimson Tide are only 7-8 ATS, so bettors haven’t cashed in despite owning an 11-4 record and being ranked inside the top 25.
We are surprised with the NCAA college basketball odds. We expected Alabama to be getting points in this situation, but it’s being respected on home court. Alabama is 7-0 at home, which can’t be overlooked.
Jaden Shackelford has been doing most of the work on the offensive end with 16.3 points per game. He is a quality guard, but he comes up against a talented Tigers outfit, so he’ll need to be good.
Losing to Missouri, which is 7-7, could be a shock to the system and it could spark the Crimson Tide into gear. They need to look at their win over Tennessee and copy the winning formula.
Auburn Streak Continues
Playing on the road doesn’t make it easy, but the Tigers are playing better basketball than Alabama.
We’re happy to take the three points with the visitors, who are looking to establish their top-four position and make a push for the SEC title.
The Tigers allow 10 points less on defense than Alabama, so that should be the difference. Take the Tigers to win outright and against the spread.
Pick: Auburn Tigers +3
