We already know that Maryland can score. The Trojans are no slouch, either. They just don’t have the depth of the Terrapins.

USC is led by Desmond Claude (16 ppg, 4.4 apg), but Wesley Yates III and Chibuzo Agbo have shown how dangerous they have been for first-year coach Eric Musselman of late.

Yates (12.8 ppg) is averaging 20.3 points in the last three games, including a 30-point outburst against Purdue. Agbo put up 39 points combined in the past two contests and has drained 56 from 3-point range on the season.

The over is 9-1-1 in the Trojans’ last 11 games against a team with a .600 winning percentage and 7-1-1 in the past nine as an underdog. That bodes well.

Maryland is averaging 91.3 points in the last three games and is shooting 48.8 percent from the field on the season. Expect the Terrapins to keep scoring and become a value March Madness pick.
