Wake Forest vs Duke Game Preview, Odds, Picks & Predictions

Duke Owns Wake at Home

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are sitting at 20-6. They are coming off a tough loss against Miami in their last outing and will be looking to rebound against a quality Duke team.

The Blue Devils, who are No. 9 in the country, lost their last home game to Virginia. However, that was their only loss in their last eight games. Can they keep it rolling against the Demon Deacons?

Wake Forest Leans on Trio

The Demon Deacons’ offense runs through three guys on this roster: Alondes Williams, Jake LaRavia and Daivien Williamson.

Williams has played in every game and has averaged 19.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists, leading the team in each of those categories.

He hasn’t done it alone, though, as LaRavia has been an excellent counterpart. He averages 14.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

As for the final piece of this trio, Williamson adds on another 12.8 points per game. Wake Forest badly needs these three guys to show up big time on Tuesday.

Duke Rallies Around Potential Top-Five Draft Pick

The Blue Devils have the privilege of rostering one of the best NBA Draft prospects. Paolo Banchero is expected to be drafted in the top five and maybe even top three overall selections in just a few months from now.

The point forward averages 17.0 points, 8.7 assists and 2.6 rebounds. The Blue Devils have three more double-digit scorers, which is why they’re so strong. With Banchero healthy and playing, it’s hard to beat them.

Wake Forest vs. Duke Head-to-Head

The Duke Blue Devils have absolutely dominated the series against the Demon Deacons. Dating back to the 1905 season, the Blue Devils are 177-79 against Wake Forest.

Duke also has a 22-game home winning streak against the team. The Demon Deacons last won at Cameron Indoor Stadium in January 1997.

Wake Forest vs. Duke Prediction

Duke is coming into this game as massive 10½-point favorites in the sportsbook and for good reason. They have simply dominated the Demon Deacons, especially at home.

The Blue Devils are 13-2 at home this season, winning by an average of 15.1 points per game. That math suggests that they’re a good bet to cover.

As for the over-under, it is currently at 150 if you bet online. The under is 4-1 for Duke in their last five games when losing against the spread in a previous contest.

It is also 4-1 for Wake Forest when playing a team with a winning percentage over .600. Duke and under is the way to go for college basketball picks.

Parlay: Duke -10½ and Under 150

Pick: Duke -10½

Pick: Under 150
