Memphis vs Utah State Betting Props: First Responder Bowl
The Memphis Tigers earned a berth in their 10th bowl game in the last 12 years, thanks to a solid end to the regular season. The Tigers face off against the Utah State Aggies on Wednesday in the First Responders Bowl.
Despite both teams finishing 6-6, they are in different places right now, with the Tigers on a roll and the Aggies limping into bowl season.

With such a great matchup on tap, I wanted to search for a few of the best prop bets for the First Responders Bowl.

Let’s check the latest college football odds, stats, injury reports and college football lines. We’ve plenty of NCAA football odds for you to consider.
Memphis to Score First
Memphis’ offense has a significant advantage in this matchup, and I expect they will drive and score first.
One primary reason for this is not based on what Memphis has going for them but rather on what Utah State lacks. Critically, what the Aggies lack is a rushing game. We don’t mean a good rushing game, but anything that can be called a ground attack.
This is because Memphis will be without its two best running backs and left with a lot of questions as to who will step up. The pair of backs are the only actual runners of note, and Utah State may have to resort to using a wide receiver in the backfield.
Needless to say, that is not an ideal way to come out to an early lead in a bowl game.
Considering Memphis is fielding an entire offense, they are the obvious choice to score first.
Pick: Memphis team to score first (+150)
Team to Score 1st Wins the Game
Considering I am betting on Memphis to win this game and to score first already, it makes sense to add the two together to create a more profitable bet. The odds for Memphis could be better, but we can make them a lot better by tying that bet to the 1st TD prop.
- Team to Score 1st Wins the Game -190
A Team to Score 3 Times Unanswered
As stated many times in my previews of this game, I don’t have faith in Utah State’s offense. However, I do have faith in the Aggies’ defense. The problem is, I have faith in them to fail.
The Aggies’ defense ranks 93rd in scoring and 103 in red zone scoring despite playing a relatively weak schedule.
Bet on the Tigers to take advantage of this and rip off three consecutive scores on Wednesday night.
