Texas vs Kansas State
- Game, time (TV): Saturday, Nov. 5, 7 p.m. ET (FS1)
- Line: Texas -2½
Texas (5-3, 3-2 in the Big 12) could move into a tie for second place in the Big 12 standings with a win on Saturday night. It would be quite the story after the Longhorns began Big 12 play with an overtime loss to Texas Tech.
Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers had three interceptions the last time out. However, the Longhorns had a week off to deal with the loss to Oklahoma State.
The game will showcase the top two rushers in the Big 12. Bijan Robinson of Texas leads the way with 920 yards while Deuce Vaughn of Kansas State has 902 yards.
Kansas State (6-2, 4-1) features the conference leader in sacks in Felix Anudike-Uzomah.
Texas is 0-5 against the college football odds in its last five road games.
Rest of the Schedule
Texas Tech vs TCU
- Date, time (TV): Saturday, Nov. 5, Noon ET (FOX)
- Line: TCU -9½
Since rolling past Oklahoma in one of the more surprising scores in the Big 12 in 2022,
TCU has been living dangerously and needs strong fourth quarters to remain atop the conference standings.
The Horned Frogs (8-0, 5-0) are third nationally with an average of 575.8 yards in home games.
Texas Tech (4-4, 2-3) is winless on the road. Something that might be of interest to those who bet online: The last two road games for the Red Raiders had 72 and 71 combined points.
In conference play, Texas Tech’s Tyreee Wilson is second in the Big 12 with four sacks.
TCU’s Max Duggan leads the conference with 2,212 passing yards and 22 touchdown passes.
Four of the last six games between the teams finished under the college football odds total. TCU is 6-1-1 against the spread.
Baylor vs Oklahoma
- Date, time (TV): Saturday, Nov. 5, 3 p.m. ET (Big 12 Now/ESPN+)
- Line: Oklahoma -3½
This figured to be one of the most anticipated games of the Big 12 season. Now it isn’t even being televised nationally.
Baylor (5-3, 3-2) is in a three-way tie for third place in the standings so another loss would make it highly unlikely that the defending Big 12 champions would make it back to the conference title game.
Oklahoma (5-3, 2-3) has won two games in a row but is still sitting in a tie for sixth in the
Big 12 standings.
Oklahoma’s Eric Gray and Baylor’s Richard Reese are fourth and fifth, respectively, in the Big 12 in rushing yards.
The total has gone over in Baylor’s last five games while the Bears have covered in five of the last six games against the Sooners.
Oklahoma State vs Kansas
- Date, time (TV): Saturday, Nov. 5, 3:30 p.m. ET (FS1)
- Line: Oklahoma State -2
Both teams are in need of a victory. Oklahoma State, which reached the Big 12 title game last season, has lost two of its last three games and has allowed 125 points in those three contests. The Cowboys (6-2, 3-2) suffered a humbling 48-0 loss to Kansas State last week.
After a surprising start, Kansas has dropped three games in a row. Kansas has trailed at halftime in all three of those contests.
The teams are at the bottom of the conference in total defense with Kansas (5-3, 2-3) allowing 439.1 yards and Oklahoma State 459.3. The Cowboys are one of two conference teams to allow more than 10 offensive plays of at least 40 yards.
Kansas could be without quarterback Jalon Daniels once again as he works his way back from a shoulder injury.
Something of interest to those who bet online: Oklahoma State has covered in each of the last seven games against Kansas.

West Virginia vs Iowa State
- Date, time (TV): Saturday, Nov. 5, 3:30 p.m. ET (Big 12 Now, ESPN+)
- Line: Iowa State -7
The only two teams in the Big 12 with overall losing records will be meeting up.
Iowa State (3-5, 0-5) has the best defense in the conference, allowing just 295 yards per game. That is nothing new as the Cyclones have finished in the top two in total defense in the Big 12 in each of the last two seasons.
West Virginia’s offense has shown improvement and quarterback JT Daniels has something to do with that. He has thrown for 1,961 yards with 12 TD passes for the Mountaineers (3-5, 1-4).
Iowa State‘s offense is a work in progress. However, Xavier Hutchinson leads the conference with 77 catches and 830 receiving yards.
The total went under in four of Iowa State’s last five games.
