NCAAF Regular Season Wins Update

Shortly after every college football schedule is released, sportsbooks will come out with regular- season win total lines. These College football lines are created to allow bettors to bet on how many wins a program may have. Instead of picking an exact number of wins, a betting line is constructed around one number, and you have to bet on whether a team will have more or less wins than that.

With how quickly NCAA Football odds come out, it gives bettors a lot of time to research teams and get accustomed to the new rosters. Some teams may have added five-star recruits or had crucial players leave for the NFL, affecting how many wins they will have. On top of that, coaching changes can play a massive part in how a school may do, along with future recruiting and possible transfers.

BetUS offers College football odds on all the big schools from the Power 5 conferences: Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Big Ten Conference, Big 12 Conference, Pac-12 Conference, and Southeastern Conference (SEC). These tend to be the biggest and best programs in FBSl. However, other schools outside those conferences have odds and lines created for them as well.

Often the best, most reliable options to bet are the bigger schools, especially the top two from the SEC, Alabama and Georgia. Both have two of the best college football coaches and consistently bring in big-name recruits. Alabama’s win total line is set at 10½. That brings up the issue with betting on these big schools, which is often that the win total is set so high, meaning each team needs to play amazingly to reach it. Georgia’s line is set at 11½, with the sportsbook nearly having them set to win all 12 games in the regular season.

In the Big Ten, two more heavy favorites, Ohio State and Michigan, who have controlled the conference recently. Each has their win lines are set at 10½, making them the favorites in the conference.

All four are also favorites to win the National Championship. They have some of the best teams in the country, making it a solid choice to parlay their win total, with them being one of the final four teams to compete for the National Championship Playoff.

While it is easier to go with one of the bigger schools, if you do the proper research as a bettor, you could venture out of the Power 5. For example, Toledo, a team that won the MAC last season, finished 9-5, with lines set at 9½ for 2023. Betting on smaller teams would be a little more risky, but with the correct information could have more value.
