Week 12 Pac-12 Rundown

It seems the College Football Playoff committee has more faith in No. 3 Oregon than the group making the college football odds. The Ducks have been listed as an underdog against No. 23 Utah, but have won both games in that situation this season.

Arizona Wildcats at Washington State Cougars

Odds: Washington State -14½ (52½)

Prediction: Washington State 28, Arizona 20

Washington State (5-5, 4-3 Pac-12) and Arizona (1-9, 1-6) meet Friday for the first time since 2018. The teams have combined for an average of 90 points over the last five meetings, but times have changed.

The Wildcats have scored the fewest points in the conference this season while the Cougars are middle of the pack. Arizona has been the underdog by a combined 70 points in its last four games, but easily covered them all. Washington State nearly made it seven straight wins against the spread, but missed by one-half point in a 38-24 loss to Oregon.

Oregon Ducks at Utah Utes

Odds: Utah -3 (59)

Prediction: Oregon 31, Utah 30

Oregon (9-1, 6-1 Pac-12) can solidify its spot in the CFP rankings with a victory over Utah (7-3, 6-1) on Saturday. The division leaders will likely meet again in the Pac-12 title game regardless of who wins this one.

The Ducks have won and covered in three of the last four meetings, all as underdogs in the college football spreads. The last three get-togethers have gone over. Oregon has won five straight games, covering in three of the last four. The Utes are 4-2 ATS in their last six games, all of which went over, after a 38-29 victory over Arizona as a 24-point favorite.

California Golden Bears at Stanford Cardinal

Odds: California -1½ (45)

Prediction: California 21, Stanford 17

California (3-6, 2-4) and Stanford (3-7, 2-6) don’t have anything to play for when it involves the standings or becoming bowl-eligible, but none of that matters when it comes to The Big Game. The Cardinal lead the series 65-47-11 after a 24-23 triumph last season amounted to a push.

Three of the last four meetings have stayed under. Stanford has lost five straight, all ATS, after failing to cover 12½ in a 35-14 loss to Oregon State.

The Golden Bears play their first game since a 10-3 setback at Arizona on Nov. 6 because of a COVID-19 outbreak in the program. Four of the last five Cal games have gone under when betting online.

UCLA Bruins at USC Trojans

Odds: UCLA -3 (65½)

Prediction: UCLA 38, USC 31

Los Angeles bragging rights are on the line as USC (4-5, 3-4) tries to salvage a disappointing season by beating UCLA (6-4, 4-3) for the third straight time. The Trojans lead the series 49-32-7, covering as the favorite in the last two meetings. The over has won the last three in the rivalry and in the Bruins’ last three games. USC has lost its last four ATS. The Trojans have been the underdog twice this season, losing both those sport bets.

Arizona State Sun Devils at Oregon State Beavers

Odds: Arizona State -3 (59½)

Prediction: Oregon State 34, Arizona State 28

Oregon State (6-4, 5-3) tries to keep its perfect home record intact as it welcomes Arizona State (7-3, 5-2) to the Pacific Northwest. The Beavers are 5-0 at Reser Stadium in 2021 and covered in all five, once an underdog. The Sun Devils are 1-3 ATS on the road. The last four meetings have gone over with Arizona State winning and covering as the favorite in three of them.

Washington Huskies at Colorado Buffaloes

Odds: Washington -6½ (43)

Prediction: Colorado 23, Washington 19

Colorado (3-7, 2-5) seeks its second straight upset of Washington (4-6, 3-4) at Folsom Field. The Buffaloes were a 14½-point underdog when they beat the Huskies 20-14 in 2019. The under has delivered in the last four meetings. Colorado won its last home game, 37-34 over Oregon State as an 11½-point underdog.
