2 Bets To Make On Army vs Air Force

1. Black Knights Can Put Points on the Board

Army has had its offense in high gear all season long, tying for ninth in the country in points per game at 40.4 heading into this week. The Black Knights have scored under 35 points just once in 2024, a 24-7 victory at Florida Atlantic on Sept. 7.

Quarterback Bryson Daily has been the man for Army, leading the team in both passing yards and rushing yards this season. Daily has thrown for 629 yards and seven touchdowns while rushing for 909 yards and 19 scores.

The senior is coming off a 171-yard, five-touchdown game on the ground in a win over East Carolina two weeks ago. He’s scored at least twice on running plays in every game this season other than the win over Florida Atlantic.

Running back Kanye Udoh is also a dangerous weapon for Army, rushing for 633 yards and seven touchdowns. The Black Knights’ offense makes a defense try to guess where the ball is, and oftentimes, once the opponent determines that, the ball carrier is already running down the field.

This game could be trouble for Air Force, which has trouble defending the run. The Falcons give up 193.7 yards per game on the ground, and they’ll face their toughest test in this contest.

Army has been blowing out opponents, with an average winning margin of 28.0 points. That trend continues on Saturday as the Black Knights will easily cover the 22½-point spread against the Falcons. Make your bet online on Army giving the points.

2. Black Knights Should Carry Game Over on Their Own

As stated above, Army is putting up 40.4 points per game this season. With an over/under of 42, the over seems pretty simple to reach if the Black Knights just have an average performance.

But facing another service academy could bring out even more fight from Army, with the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy up for grabs. The trophy is awarded each season to the winner of the games between Army, Air Force and Navy. If each team comes away from those games with one win, it is considered a tie, but the previous season’s winner (in this case, Army) retains physical possession of the trophy itself.

A rivalry game can bring out the best in both squads, so we expect Air Force to put some points on the board as well. The Falcons only average 15.3 points, but even that number would help push this game over in college football predictions.

Quarterback John Busha is a dual-threat player as well. He had 175 yards and a touchdown through the air and 31 yards and a touchdown on the ground in the Falcons’ loss to Colorado State in their last game.

This game should easily eclipse the set total of 42 points, so make sure you include an over bet when you’re doing your online sports betting for this weekend’s action.
