Arizona State vs Stanford Prediction, Game Preview, Live Stream, Odds & Picks
The Arizona State Sun Devils and Stanford Cardinal are having difficult years, but they both won their most recent games in what proved to be big upsets.
The Cardinal’s win deserves much more credit as they were a 16.5-point underdog in the sportsbook. They stunned many who bet online and had Notre Dame in their moneyline parlays as the Cardinal went to South Bend and won.

Meanwhile, Arizona State is coming off a bye but prior to that, won outright as a 14-point underdog at Washington.
Which of these squads will keep it rolling to win this week and cover the college football odds?
Let’s check the latest college football odds, stats, injury reports, and college football lines for Arizona State vs Stanford. We’ve plenty of NCAA football odds for you to consider.
Arizona State Sun Devils
Arizona State had a remarkable game two weeks ago. The Sun Devils won against the Washington Huskies when posted as a 14-point dog on Oct. 8..
Arizona State watched starting quarterback Emory Jones suffer a concussion, which pressed backup Trenton Bourguet into service.
Bourguet promptly lit up the Washington secondary with a sustained series of accurate throws, which no one saw coming. He got hot, and he stayed hot.
Washington’s pass rush could not figure out how to get to Bourguet and Arizona State’s offensive line played its best game of the year by far.
This was something ASU could not do in previous games against Utah and USC. Bourguet played well at quarterback, but his teammates along the offensive line helped him out, as did his wide receivers.
It was a team effort in a 45-38 win, the first win for interim head coach Shaun Aguano with the Sun Devils. But given that it was his first, you can tell what type of season it has been.
This team will enter Stanford Stadium with a lot of confidence. The question is can they continue this cohesive, team-wide effort. That’s a question bettors have to answer before adding this team to their college football picks.
Stanford Cardinal
The Cardinal entered Week 7 against Notre Dame having not won a game against an FBS opponent in 378 days. They had lost 11 straight against FBS opponents.
Taking a look at the ratings, they found themselves in the bottom 25% of nearly every major defensive category. It seemed unlikely that Stanford’s defense would be able to stop any opposing offense this season.
Remember, this is a Stanford side that got run out of the building by Washington, USC, and Oregon in recent weeks, and then allowed Oregon State to score 18 points in the fourth quarter in a 27-22 loss on Oct. 8.
The Cardinal seemed to be at a loss for how to proceed. They had run out of ideas. Or did they?
Out of nowhere, Stanford’s defense delivered a tremendous performance, giving up two touchdowns and coming up with late takeaways to protect a 16-14 lead and stun the Fighting Irish as a 16.5-point underdog.
Stanford got that elusive FBS win, and did so in an unlikely place. This should give it renewed belief for the road ahead.

Arizona State vs Stanford Prediction
The fact that Arizona State is going back to Jones, even though Trenton Bourguet was so good at quarterback against Washington, makes this game tough to predict.
However, Arizona State’s offense still has the athletes to outflank and outscore Stanford. It really feels like last week was an aberration for Stanford. Take the points with Arizona State here.
