Arkansas State Red Wolves
The Red Wolves put on a clinic against Grambling, the defense surrendering only 102 yards. Grambling misfired on 14-of-18 pass attempts, just 52 yards through the air Throw in four sacks and 14 tackles for loss as well, so the front seven was relentless.
Arkansas State’s offense has some playmakers, and ties to Power Five conferences. Coach Butch Jones was Tennessee’s leader from 2013-17. It’s only a matter of time before the Buckeyes’ passing game comes to the fore. There’s simply too much depth at every level. Per NCAAF lines, C.J. Stroud is the second-choice (+350) to win the Heisman. The receiving corps is loaded, and the offensive line is one of college football’s best. Jaxon Smith-Njigba could miss a couple of games (injured leg), but Ohio State has too many weapons for the Red Wolves.
