1. Razorbacks Building Momentum

The Arkansas Razorbacks kicked off their year with a 70-0 victory over Arkansas Pine Bluff before losing to Oklahoma State in overtime, but we like the way they bounced back.

They defeated UAB 37-27 before scoring a crucial road win over Auburn 24-14, and that should give them plenty of confidence heading into another tough environment. Playing Texas A&M at AT&T Stadium is tough, but we see good improvement in this team.

Despite being the underdog to win outright in the college football odds, Arkansas has every chance to win if quarterback Taylen Green can limit turnovers. He has four touchdowns and four interceptions, so he needs to work on his accuracy, especially against an opportunistic Aggies’ defense.

Beating Auburn as a +2½ underdog is a step in the right direction, but the Razorbacks need to take care of the ball to have a chance of producing the upset.

2. Aggies Getting it Done

Following a Week 1 loss to Notre Dame 23-13, the Aggies have played more consistently against lower graded teams.

They got past McNeese, Florida and Bowling Green, with last week’s coming by only six points. That is a concern. They should have been able to beat the Falcons by much more as a sizable betting favorite.

There are some injury issues for Texas A&M Aggies, which is without starting center T.J. Shanahan, and quarterback Connor Weigman might miss another game.

Coach Mike Elko said Weigman is “taking reps on the side right now” during practice and is “progressing and getting better.

“We’re hopeful that we’re going to have him available on Saturday. It will be more of a game-time decision in that regard.”
