The Alabama Crimson Tide are a heavy favorite in the NCAA football odds to win their 12th straight game at home when they take on the rival Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl on Saturday afternoon.

Alabama most likely lost any chance at reaching the College Football Playoff after a shocking 24-3 loss at Oklahoma last week and must win to avoid losing more than three games in a season for the first time since 2007.

Auburn may have more incentive in this matchup after winning its last two games to get within one victory of bowl qualification. The Tigers outlasted 19th-ranked Texas A&M 43-41 last week for their third win in four games.

Per Auburn vs Alabama betting trends, the Crimson Tide just doesn’t lose at home and they will want to save face with a strong effort on Saturday. Auburn won’t be a pushover, but expect Alabama to cash your bets.

Top 3 Auburn vs Alabama Betting Tips

1. Expect Loud Answer From Crimson Tide

It could go two ways for Alabama on Saturday. The Tide may come out angry and determined or still demoralized after a poor effort at Oklahoma.

The online bet is that Alabama will show some pride in the Iron Bowl. The Crimson Tide have wins over LSU, South Carolina and Georgia on their resume, but three losses wash that good work away.

The key is how Jalen Milroe recovers from a three-interception performance last week. Milroe has six picks in the three losses and has rushed for just 28 yards on 36 carries. The junior has a hand in 32 touchdowns on the season (17 rushing).

Expect Milroe to be better and freshman Ryan Williams (42 catches, 804 yards, eight TDs) to have a big game in his first Iron Bowl. Use Williams to score 2+ TDs and Milroe to run for at least one along with an Alabama moneyline win in a college football parlay.

Include Alabama at -415 on the moneyline in any parlay.

2. Bet on Auburn ATS Is Tempting

The way the Tigers played last week, you want to think they can beat an 11 ½-point spread.

Auburn has also given the Crimson Tide trouble in 2021 and 2023 despite poor seasons. The Tigers lost in overtime in 2021 and fell 27-24 last year. But those were both at home.

This time, Auburn will have to scare Alabama in Tuscaloosa to cash your bet That will be difficult, even though the Tigers have the tools to give it a go.

Quarterback Payton Thorne has thrown seven TD passes and one interception the last two games and KeAndre Lambert-Smith (865 receiving yards, eight TDs), along with Cam Coleman (520, seven), are top targets.

The key will be Auburn running back Jarquez Hunter (1,145 yards, seven TDs) and the Tigers defense, which gave up 62 points in four games before last week.

Auburn will test Bama, but the Tide should roll and cover -11 ½ in college football ATS picks.

Bet this Pick: Alabama -11 ½

3. Take a Chance on the Under?

Points have not been hard to come by in this matchup over the years.

The over is 4-2 in the last six meetings and one of the losses was in 2020 when 55 points were scored. The last time the teams played in Tuscaloosa, the scoreboard was lighting up with 76 points.

However, both defenses have shown ability at times. Alabama has 14 interceptions. Auburn has two players with seven sacks (Jalen McLeod, Keldric Faulk).

We think the best NCAA football prediction for the final score could be around 31-17 or 34-14.

Bet this Pick: Under 53 points
