For Week 8, we went a respectable 4-4 with my college football picks for Big 12 props. Heading into Week 9, I am offering the largest number of Big 12 prop picks to bet online with nine (!).

Here are my college football predictions for the top prop bets around the Big 12.

Donovan Smith Keeps Hot Streak Alive

Houston is well out of the Big 12 race, but quarterback Donovan Smith is starting to hit his stride. Smith has thrown for three or more touchdowns in three straight games. With the over-under for Smith’s touchdown passes against Kansas State at 1.5, there is a good chance the over cashes in for online betting fans.

UCF’s Offense Getting Back on Track

UCF is still looking for their first Big 12 win, but the offense looks remarkably better with quarterback John Rhys Plumlee back in the lineup. The Knights came within a failed two-point conversion of sending their matchup against Oklahoma into overtime in Week 8.

Plumlee’s favorite target is wide receiver Javon Baker. Kiss or no kiss (see below), we like Baker’s over in his receiving yards prop combined with Plumlee to shine. The UCF offense should be explosive in their homecoming matchup against West Virginia at the Bounce House.

As for the Mountaineers, their offense will also be able to put up points against the Knights’ defense. The unit looked much improved against the Sooners, but West Virginia quarterback Garrett Greene has topped 240 passing yards in two straight games.

UCF’s biggest weakness is defending the run, so look for CJ Donaldson to also get going in Orlando.

Ollie Gordon, There Goes That Man

Oklahoma State’s Ollie Gordon is emerging as one of the top running backs in the nation. Gordon has rushed for more than 120 yards in four straight games. We’re riding the hot hand against Cincinnati.

More Big 12 QB Prop Bets

There are two more Big 12 quarterback prop bets I like for this week. Maalik Murphy will be Texas’ quarterback in Quinn Ewers’ absence, and the Longhorns have plenty of weapons for him to thrive.

Kansas quarterback Jason Bean is coming into his own in Jalon Daniels’ absence. Bean had a breakout performance with 410 passing yards and five touchdowns against Oklahoma State in Week 8.

Questions Of The Day
