Offense Keeps Louisville Unbeaten

The Cardinals have been able to rack up four straight wins and stay undefeated so far behind their strong offensive play.

Louisville is fifth in the nation in total yards and ninth in points, averaging 542 yards and 43 points. They have scored over 50 points twice this season, including in its win last week.

The Cardinals carved up ACC opponent Boston College last week, scoring 56 points behind the play of quarterback Jack Plummer, who threw for 388 yards and five touchdowns.

Louisville doesn’t seem to be slowing down yet, but with a stronger defense in the Wolfpack up next, bettors may want to see how they start before looking at some live college football odds for Sept. 29.

NC State Must Rely on Defense

The Wolfpack managed to get a win in conference play to stay above .500 after a close game with Virginia last week.

Though NC State had the lead against Virginia for most of the game, it allowed the Cavaliers to come back to tie and needed a last-second field goal to earn the win.

The Wolfpack gave up 384 total yards and allowed Virginia to go on an 11-play, 66-yard drive to tie it up at 21 with 36 seconds to go.

NC State is fifth in the ACC, allowing 21.8 points a game, but it’ll need a stronger game against a surging Louisville offense to be a solid pick in NCAAF betting lines.

Though Louisville just dominated ACC opponent Boston College while the Wolfpack needed a timely field goal and some penalties to get them the win over Virginia, the sportsbook still has the matchup as a three-point game.

NC State has been dominant at home, only losing six games there in the past five years, but taking the Cardinals on the moneyline should still be one of the NCAA football’s best bets.

Although these two match up relatively evenly defensively, Louisville has been a force offensively so far this season. Plummer and Co. should continue to cause trouble when they meet the Wolfpack.

NC State should make things interesting at home, but Louisville should remain undefeated.
