Making college football predictions in the Big 12 each week feels a little bit like throwing darts, but the dartboard is rotating and on fire. As Halloween nears, it is starting to look like there is Iowa State and BYU – and everyone else.

Given how things have started in this conference, it would not surprise if even this changes by the time the calendar hits November. Just like a ride at Disney, make sure your arms and legs are inside the vehicle and just enjoy the journey.

Here’s my best bets around the Big 12 for Week 8.

Take These 3 Big 12 Bets for Week 8

1. Arizona State (+3½) Keeps Hot Streak Going vs Cincinnati

This is one of my best college football bets across conferences for Week 8. It looks like the NCAAF odds are overvaluing Cincinnati’s win over UCF from Week 7.

The Knights started 17-year-old freshman quarterback EJ Colson against Cincy and have their own set of issues. On the other end, Arizona State now has wins over Utah, Texas State and Mississippi State.

Shout out to Arizona State head coach Kenny Dilingham for going viral like Druski after the team’s upset over Utah. Take Arizona State to not only cover the spread but upset Cincinnati.

2. Kansas State (-3) Covers vs West Virginia

Kansas State very easily could have lost against Colorado, but the Wildcats’ final drive allowed them to escape with a win. The honeymoon has ended for Avery Johnson as the playmaking quarterback for K-State does have flaws.

Those obviously don’t include having the best flow in college football reminiscent of Sunshine from “Remember the Titans.

Whatever Johnson lacks, the quarterback makes up for with his playmaking ability. Many experts were touting West Virginia’s chances against Iowa State.

We were not one of those people as the Cyclones came away with a 12-point win over the Mountaineers to cover the spread in the NCAA football lines. This feels like a similar spot against Kansas State.

The Wildcats have not been quite as consistent as the Cyclones this season. Kansas State still looks like the better side in this matchup. Look for Kansas State to cover ATS versus West Virginia.

3. Colorado (+3.5) Has Arizona on Upset Alert

The only thing that gives me pause about this matchup is the injuries Colorado is dealing with heading into this Big 12 matchup. Two-way star Travis Hunter headlines this list of key players who could be sidelined, per NCAA football news.

Even if Hunter is sidelined, Colorado is still the stronger team in this matchup. The Wildcats’ offense appears to be coming back to earth a bit.

Arizona is coming off back-to-back losses to Texas Tech and BYU. Despite the loss to Kansas State, Colorado is starting to find their footing under Coach Prime. As long as Shedeur Sanders is under center, the Buffs have a chance.

Take Colorado to cover the 3½-point spread versus Arizona in the college football picks. I am also okay sprinkling a little bit on the Colorado moneyline as the Buffs stand a good chance to pull off the upset.
