Just how good these teams are at this point is anyone’s guess, but we are about to find out a lot more about the conference as teams get to the meat of their schedule.

Let’s take a look at my best bets for the Big 12 in Week 4.

Bet These Big 12 Games in Week 4

Take Utah (-2) at Oklahoma State

A few interesting stats for this Big 12 showdown. The combined ages of starting quarterbacks Alan Bowman and Cam Rising is 49 years. A more relevant stat for the actual game is the sudden disappearance of Oklahoma State star running back Ollie Gordon.

The running back is coming off back-to-back performances of less than 50 yards. Gordon is averaging a meager 3.5 rushing yards per carry this season. There is bad news ahead with Utah’s defense coming into town.

Rising is expected to suit up for this matchup after being sidelined in Week 3. Utah is the better team and should more than cover the 2-point spread in the NCAAF lines.

TCU (-3) Bounces Back in Showdown Against Rival SMU

I think SMU is falling victim to being a bit overhyped heading into the ACC. The Ponies appear to be heading toward an adjustment period with step up in competition.

TCU is looking to bounce back after a complete meltdown at home versus UCF. There were still signs of life for the Horned Frogs, including an impressive performance from quarterback Josh Hoover.

Bet online TCU to cover the 3-point spread versus SMU.

Kansas State (-6½) Covers at BYU

Let’s give BYU its flowers for starting the season 3-0, not far from the win total some had projected for the season. That said, Kansas State is a step up from Wyoming and SMU.

The Cougars are going to have trouble slowing down Wildcats playmaking quarterback Avery Johnson. Kansas State also has a dynamic duo in the backfield with DJ Giddens and Dylan Edwards.

All this has Kansas State as the right side in the college football lines.

Bet Coach Prime’s Colorado (-1½) Over Baylor

What we found out in the first month of the season is that Colorado is not as good as teams like Nebraska, but still has enough juice to handle Colorado State. Baylor is dealing with an injury to quarterback Dequann Finn, making his status for this matchup uncertain.

Colorado has plenty of flaws, but still has enough talent to cover ATS versus Baylor.

Take Arizona State (+3) ATS at Texas Tech

There’s nothing about Texas Tech’s resume that shows the Red Raiders are a good team. Arizona State has wins over Mississippi State, Texas State and Wyoming. The Sun Devils have a strong chance not just to cover in the NCAA football odds but upset the Red Raiders.

Houston (+3½) Can Scare Cincinnati

There’s a chance that neither of these teams are particularly strong this season. Houston nearly beat Oklahoma and had its best performance of the season versus Rice in Week 3. Take Houston to cover +3½ versus Cincy.
