Boston College to Upset Pitt One of Week 12’s Best NCAAF Bets

If you’re buying, don’t buy into the 2-8 Pittsburgh Panthers as college football betting lines favorites in their upcoming game against the 6-4 Boston College Eagles. I mean it, I won’t allow it.

With nothing left for Pitt, other than maybe putting on a couple of strong showings to close out the season, the Panthers don’t have any strong ground to stand on come Thursday night.

After amassing five consecutive wins before getting blown out by Virginia Tech, Boston College looks poised to go for a much-needed bounce-back win to get their bowl plans back on track. So who is taking the “W” in Pittsburgh?

Panthers Offer No Danger against Eagles

With two games left, if you haven’t already called Pitt’s season a failure then time is running out. Even if they managed to beat Louisville, there’s nothing else to show for this Panthers team.

At home, many college football odds experts are eyeing this game as Pitt’s last true chance at scoring a win.

But who are we kidding? Pitt doesn’t have enough substance to compete against Boston College, even more try to go for the win.

After switching QB halfway through the season to no real positive change, and underwhelming all sides of the ball, this isn’t the usual Pitt team football fans grew accustomed to in the past few seasons.

Now, as the Panthers get ready to square off against a BC team poised on finishing the season with a bang as they prepare for a bowl berth, I would expect the Eagles to cruise to a win here, even if they are somehow underdogs.

Looking for an Upset? Take BC’s Moneyline

Why, oh why, if there’s a clear mismatch when it comes to season records as well as football skills is Pitt a 3-point college football betting spread favorites over Boston College?

Seriously, it makes little sense to me, which is why I’m here to vow for the Eagles and taking their moneyline as they cruise to a win over the Panthers on the road.

Pointing out facts that feel as clear as daylight, Pitt looks and plays like a team waiting for the season to be over. Any chance of making it into a bowl is gone. With a 2-8 record, and one truly good win, the Panthers don’t offer that much leverage as far as competitiveness goes.

So why would any college football betting fan want to roll with them here?

Take Boston College to win and come through with the NCAAF odds upset. It has the better team, better rhythm and clear understanding that a win can help cement a better bowl game status.

NCAAF Pick: Boston College ML (+130)

Take the Over, Love the Over, Win with the Over

All signs point toward Boston College using this game as a perfect opportunity to bounce back and gain some ACC relevance once again.

As the Eagles prepare to square off against a defense like Pitt’s which is allowing an average of 28.2 points per game, I could easily see the total going over the slated 46 points by our sportsbook.

To show you how sold I am on this NCAAF pick, mark my words. Boston College’s running game will spearhead all offensive play making from the Eagles, running up the scoreboard, all while Pitts tries to catch up with them.

On the one hand, take the total in the over, and secondly, just for kicks, take any week 12 NCAAF prop bets involving BC’s running game. It will definitely give you the best bang for your buck.

NCAAF Pick: Total over 46 (-110)

Question Of The Day

Which team will win the first half, Boston College or Pittsburgh?

Even while not being the college football betting odds favorite to win the game, Boston College offers the biggest upside offensively which gives it the edge when it comes to thinking of which team will win the first half.
