Eagles Try to Snap Skid vs Host Huskies
Eagles Coming off Two Straight Losses to Ranked Foes
The Boston College Eagles try to snap a two-game losing streak when they step out of ACC play to face the host Connecticut Huskies on Saturday. Boston College has dropped three of its last four contests, including its last two straight to nationally-ranked foes. Ball State snapped Connecticut’s two-game winning streak on October 15th. Both teams could use a victory to right their season, but before you make any bet online on this contest, check out our in-depth preview to help you out.
Let’s check the latest college football odds, stats, and injury reports for Boston College vs Connecticut. We’ve plenty of NCAA football odds for you to consider.

Boston College Struggles to Score in Losses
Facing nationally-ranked Clemson and Wake Forest over its last two games, Boston College has struggled to put points on the board, scoring a total of 18 points over the two losses. After managing just three points against the Tigers on Oct. 8, the Eagles fared a little better against the Demon Deacons, scoring 15 points.
“Was it execution? Was it play calling?” Boston College coach Jeff Hafley said after Saturday’s loss. “It was probably a combination of everything.”
Quarterback Phil Jurkovec passed for 221 yards and a touchdown against Wake Forest, though he was sacked multiple times for the seventh time in seven games this season. The senior has passed for 1,556 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2022, though he also has six interceptions.
The Boston College running game was virtually non-existent against the Demon Deacons, as the Eagles managed just 56 yards on the ground, with Jurkovec accounting for the only rushing touchdown. Senior kicker Danny Longman led the Eagles with 24 yards rushing on a fake punt, and Boston College is averaging just 66.3 rushing yards as a team this season.
Connecticut Showing Improvement Despite Loss
Connecticut is coming off a loss on the road to Ball State, but it has to feel pretty good about falling by just four after a pair of victories. The team’s offense, averaging 18.1 points per game, scored 21 against the Cardinals after managing 33 in a rout of Florida International in its previous contest.
Freshman quarterback Zion Turner was efficient against the Cardinals, completing 81.8% of his passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. He’s thrown for 790 yards and seven touchdowns this season while also rushing for 134 yards.
The Huskies’ running game took a hit when sophomore Nathan Carter (405 yards) was lost for the season to a shoulder injury in late September. Sophomore Devontae Houston has been trying to fill his shoes, rushing for 350 yards, and he hopes to return for this game after he missed the Ball State loss with an ankle injury.
Connecticut will try to keep the Eagles from getting their passing game going, though the Huskies allow 239.4 yards through the air this season. Neither team is particularly strong offensively – both average under 20 points a game – but Connecticut hopes its recent surge in scoring can continue in this one.

Boston College vs Connecticut Head-To-Head
The Boston College Eagles have a perfect record against the Connecticut Huskies, having won the first six matchups in this brief rivalry. The two teams haven’t played since the 2017 season when the Eagles won 39-16 playing at home.
Only one of the games between these teams finished with a single-digit margin of victory, and Boston College has won by at least 20 points in each of the last three matchups. The college football lines for Saturday’s game still favor the Eagles, though by a single-digit margin.

Boston College vs Connecticut Prediction
Boston College has played a much tougher schedule than Connecticut, and the Eagles will be more than happy to play an opponent that isn’t nationally ranked. This should be a low-scoring affair, but we like the Eagles to come away with another win over the Huskies.
