ACC divisional foes meet in Week 11

Wolfpack on Verge of Record

The No. 17 North Carolina St. Wolfpack (7-2, 3-2 in ACC) play their final 2022 home game Saturday against Boston College. It will offer the ‘Pack to set a record.

NC St. has won 16 home games in a row, and a 17th consecutive would set a program record.

Boston College (2-7, 1-5) won’t be setting any records, as the Eagles come into the game on a four-game losing streak.

BC’s last in the ACC Atlantic, while the Wolfpack are in second (with Syracuse), all behind runaway Clemson.

Let’s check the latest college football spreads, stats, injury reports, and CFB championship for Boston College vs North Carolina St.

Eagles’ Freefall Continues

The Boston College Eagles are not good, as the team has also been bitten by the injury bug.

BC is traveling to Raleigh on a four-game losing skid (combined 73 points), knocking it well out of bowl eligibility.

Boston College, which had to replace its entire offensive line of a season ago, has surrendered 34 sacks, the fifth-highest total in the FBS.

The Eagles are also near the bottom of the ACC in both offense (18.8 points per game) and defense (29.8 ppg).

BC hasn’t done much on the ground, its 68.3 rushing yards a game are last in the ACC. However, the Eagles’ 251.8 passing yards a game are fifth in the ACC, largely due to the play of wide receiver Zay Flowers.

Flowers is leading the conference with 791 yards (eight touchdowns).

BC will have to rely on its passing game to keep them in the game.

Wolfpack Ending Strong

The Wolfpack have won three of their last four games, solid on both sides of the ball.

NC St. is at or near the top of the ACC defensive table in fewest points (17.6, first) and yards (320.3, third).

The Wolfpack’s defense shone in a 30-21 win over Wake Forest last week, holding the Demon Deacons below many of their season averages. Wake Forest had just 17 rushing yards.

Wolfpack quarterback Devin Leary suffered a season-ending injury in October. MJ Morris has taken over the past two games, and the team has won both of them. In his starts, Morris has 475 yards (six touchdowns), adding 55 yards on the ground.
