Berth in Conference Title Game
Tuesday will feature MACtion when the Bowling Green Falcons (6-5, 5-2 MAC) visit the Ohio Bobcats (8-3, 6-1). A trip to the Mid–American Conference (MAC) title game awaits the winner.
Ohio is red-hot, riding a six-game winning streak while a perfect 7-0 against the spread (ATS) in the last seven. Bowling Green is 4-1 in its last five and has won three consecutive games on the road. Which will get one step closer to potentially winning a MAC championship?
Falcons are Flying
The Bowling Green Falcons come off a 42-35 win over Toledo and hold of the top spot in the MAC West. Before the game against the Rockets, Bowling Green’s offense had been cold, averaging just 9½ points in the two previous games. It was a huge turnaround game, that after a 40-6 loss to Kent State (4-6) in Week 11.
Quarterback Matt McDonald has been hot over the last month, with 70% pass completion. He had 395 yards 9four touchdowns) against Toledo. Wide receiver Odieu Hiliaire had a career day with 246 receiving yards (two touchdowns). The team’s air attack should fare well against Ohio, which ranks 125th nationally in passing yards surrendered/game.
Expect BGU to move the ball, as its games have gone over in seven-of-11 games. It’s not all due to a solid offense. There’s a weakness with its defense, having surrendered 422.2 yards/game [99th in nation].
Air Assault in Ohio
Ohio has averaged 37.6 points during its six-game winning streak to date. The Bobcats have one of college football’s best passing attacks, 15th in yards/attempt, and 20th in yards/game.
Quarterback Kurtis Rourke is on track to take home some hardware. He is ninth nationally (3,256 passing yards), leading the MAC. There’s a solid 25-to-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

During the streak, Ohio has scored first in five-of-six games, and last week’s 32-18 win over Ball St. was the first time in over a month the Bobcats didn’t score in the opening 15 minutes. The Ohio offense is known to come out firing. Take a prop bet on it to score first Tuesday night.
The injury report is worth watching. Rourke’s injured knee means his status is questionable. Rourke had minor swelling, he has a solid chance of playing.

Rourke’s status could decide the outcome of this game, seemingly on track to play. However, with his questionable status, betting on the moneyline and spread becomes difficult. Assuming he goes, take the Bobcats to win and cover. They are 5-0 art home, 4-1 ATS.
Betting on the total is the safest choice in this one. Neither team has a good defense, and both offenses lean on throwing the ball. Take the over.
