A battle of Big 12 rivals will play out at the Alamo Bowl on Saturday as the BYU Cougars take on the Colorado Buffaloes. Both teams were among the four that tied for first place in the conference standings, but neither was part of the Big 12 Championship Game, which was played between Arizona State and Iowa State.

Insead, these two teams will square off in a de facto third-place game, with plenty of offensive fireworks expected. We’ve put together a few fun NCAAF player prop picks for you to wager on.

3 BYU vs Colorado Prop Picks For You To Bet

1. Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders Over 318½ Passing Yards (-114)

The betting favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft at -200 in NFL futures odds, Shedeur Sanders will be looking to end his collegiate career with a bang. He’s just 74 yards from 4,000 yards passing on the season and five touchdowns from 40 scoring strikes.

The 318½ passing yards is a bunch, though Sanders has thrown for 323 or more yards in three of the last five games and this game could be a shootout that requires lots of passing. According to BYU vs Colorado stats, the Cougars ranked second in the Big 12 in pass defense, allowing 180.3 yards per game, but we have confidence in Sanders.

Sanders has the Heisman Trophy winner in Travis Hunter to throw to, and he is fearless throwing the ball into coverage, as shown by his stats. We are expecting another big game from Sanders in this one, so go over on his passing yards as one of your college football best bets.

2. BYU WR Chase Roberts Over 58½ Receiving Yards (-113)

While Colorado has received the headlines for its explosive offensive attack, BYU has some pop as well. The Cougars were eighth in the Big 12 in passing at 238.0 yards per game, but wide receiver Chase Roberts has been a solid threat throughout the season, averaging 70.3 receiving yards per game.

Roberts has 51 catches for 843 yards and four touchdowns this season, averaging 16.5 yards per reception. He’s coming off just three receptions against Houston in the regular-season finale, but he gained 76 yards on those three catches.

Over the last five games, Roberts has averaged 84.2 receiving yards and he’s gone for 59 or more in eight of his 12 games this season. The junior should find some holes in the Colorado secondary in this one, and he’s very good after the catch as well, making his over 58½ receiving yards prop a solid one to take.

Make sure you add that to your wagers when you do your online sports betting on this game.

Bet On Chase Roberts Over 60½ Receiving Yards (-113)

3. Colorado WR Travis Hunter Over 7½ Receptions (-121)

If you’re going to take the over on Sanders’ passing yards, you have to believe he’s going to find Hunter more than a few times in this game, just as he has all season long. The Heisman winner had 92 receptions for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2024.

Hunter is coming off 10 catches for 116 yards and three touchdowns in a rout of Oklahoma State in the regular-season finale, his third double-digit-reception game of the season. While some have accused coach Deion Sanders of propping up Hunter’s stats in his quest to win him the Heisman, we don’t see Hunter’s targets going down now that he’s won the award.

Both Sanders and Hunter decided to play in this game to help their NFL Draft stocks, so they’ll be looking to put up some big numbers against the Cougars. Sanders is the favorite to be selected No. 1 overall at -200 in NFL Draft odds while Hunter is +800 to be the top pick.

Hunter has had five games of seven or fewer receptions this season, but he’s had eight or more in four of the last five contests. Look for Sanders to look to Hunter plenty of times in this one and Hunter to have a big game to cap his season and career with the Buffaloes.

The last of our NCAA football predictions for this contest has Hunter getting at least eight receptions for Colorado.

Bet on Travis Hunter Over 7½ Receptions (-121)
