Can Tulane Get Revenge on UCF?
We’re into Championship Week in college football, which means we’re going to see a number of tight, entertaining affairs. In the American Athletic Conference, the 10-win Tulane Green Wave will try to turn back the nine-win Central Florida Knights.
These two teams met just weeks ago and those who bet online saw the Knights (9-3) come away with a seven-point win. Are we looking at more of the same or will Tulane (10-2) win and/or cover the college football odds this time?
Let’s check the latest college football odds, stats, injury reports and college football lines for Central Florida vs Tulane. We’ve plenty of NCAA football odds for you to consider.
Malzahn Has Knights Offense Humming
UCF seems to lose a good coach every couple of seasons but they do a great job of reloading with a strong offensive mind. Gus Malzahn has led the team to back-to-back nine-win seasons in his first two years and fields one of the best offenses in the country.
This team averages nearly 35 points and allows just over 21, so it’s easy to understand how the Knights got to nine wins.
One of their latest wins was over this very same opponent. They squared off at Tulane – exactly where this game will be again – and came away with a 38-31 win.
For them to roll again, they’ll have to rely on their ground game, which was so effective. Quarterback John Rhys Plumlee only had 132 passing yards (and only 17 completions), but the team ran for 330 yards on the ground.
UCF jumped out to a 17-7 first-quarter lead in that game and expanded that to 24-7. A fast start again will be critical for them.

Green Wave an Epic Comeback Story
One of the best rebound stories of the year is Tulane. The Green Wave were 2-10 last season but have flipped the script and are now 10-2. They’re ranked at No. 18 – ahead of UCF at No. 22 – and have a shot at going to a great bowl game.
To get the job done in this spot, they simply have to – as you might have guessed it – play better. While that seems too simple, that’s the truth.
This team lost the turnover battle 2-0 against UCF and gave up 336 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. To put that in perspective, they only allowed 12 rushing touchdowns all season.
For the season, the Green Wave allowed just 3.98 yards per carry; they allowed 6.2 against UCF.
If Tulane can clean up some of these mistakes, it should win and cover in the sportsbook.
